When blog commenting do you need to change your username and email for different blogs?

For the last few weeks I have been using the same info to build links from blogs back to my question and answer website tell(.)me

Is that bad using my real name and same email address all the time?

Do you need to change regulary? I heard about footprinting and it got me thinking.

Thanks

I think it is advisable to change your email at least. This is because if someone marks your comment as spam and is using a plug in or shared application database then your email can over time become associated with spam and be blacklisted.

However if you are rotating between identities this is less likely to have a large impact.

Ok so I should rotate identies including changing my email.

I try to make contributing comments so they get accepted. So far all have gone through.

Does it matter how old the blog is?

If you comment wit tool like scrapebox, you have o randomize things.
If you do manual intelligent commenting, you can keep your name and other stuff

Ok, I still haven't tried Scrapebox although I watched a demonstration video of it on here the other day and it looks very good. Its on my wishlist!

Just be careful with Scrapebox. I wouldn't use it to blindly blast thousands of blogs with links and comments to my main site(s). I'd, instead, use it to find quality blogs that you can manually comment on.

Blog PR and blog quality matters more than blog age.

Sorry I assumed from the nature of your question that you would be mass posting using software.

As said above by some others a genuine commenter would always use the same identity - why wouldn't they? It helps build up branding, presence and continuity.

If you will do quality blog commenting, I think there's no reason to change identity. But if you will just spam, then expect a ban from blog owners.

Depends on you. If you need privacy, then change it, but if you have good command of what you are talking about then using a particular name is a good idea.

If you're building a persona, I think it's best if you will just use one email. Well, it's up to you. If you're building links, just handling one persona is already good enough. This is basic, but you have to give value to whatever is posted on the blog. Don't comment just for the sake of link building.

Yes I think if you do quality blog commenting then you need not to change your email id and username. You can market yourself and get popular your name online by this.

Leaving a footprint is never advisable. If you find good quality Dofollow blogs with Scrapebox and comment on them, using the same username, all it takes is a search of your username to find all your hard earned comments.
