google versus wordtracker?

I went to googles keyword tool external and I got 6,600 approx search volume for February.
Now, for the same search term on seobooks keyword search tool this is what I got for daily search volumes:
results from wordtracker count 51
results from google daily est 64
results overall daily estimate 90

So 90 results (on the high side) x 30 days = 2,700, not anywhere near the 6,600
I get from google's site.
what's the deal? which is closer to accurate as wordtracker shows only 51 searches per day?

  • No keyword tool will give "exact" numbers. Personally, I use google's tool. Keep in mind that these numbers are not just from searches on google.com, but the entire google network. Take that in consideration and adjust accordingly. I prefer to get info from the horse's mouth. To back this up, create a big list of keywords and test yourself through ppc. This will give you a heads up on the competition that will only rely on software. Wordtracker's results come from 2 meta engines that make up a small percentage of total searches, then they perform their calculations for "estimated" searches.

I think google is more accurate of them all because it has the actual data of searches...
