See, if you think after buying a software you can sit back and watch your website going up... then you have to wake up. These software helps a lot in researching and strategizing things, but human efforts are always required.

I don't believe on such softwares, and i don't think they can give you any quality links, such softwares can only give you lot of low quality backlinks in a very short time, which is as a fact an unnatural way of link buidling, and google can ban your site anytime with its algo, like penguin update. So better idea is avoid low quality link building, and just work hard and get your backlinks yourself.

I don't know if it works, as I haven't used it personally, but from the sound of it, I wouldn't use it for my money site as the guys have said here.

As for me, I prefer SEO Spyglass for finding link building opportunities and then building links by hand. I think, this is the way to go nowadays after the Penguin update and other Google changes.

After penguin update don’t use any software or program to generate links pointing to your main/money website. According to me create some web2.0 (hubpage, Squidoo, blog) and use your backlinks software to create links pointing to web2.0 websites .

Do your SEO work manually and naturally as much as you can. After Panda and Penguin, now everyone is confused regarding which one is acceptable in the eye of google and which one is not. It's better not to try SEO activities with automated one.

I don't think in 2013 you really want to use these softwares too much. If you use please be careful. And also there are many many free alternative available on the net. If you want one then send an PM and I will provide you with link. You may have to do a quick free survey to get 8-9 free software's which can help in different marketing efforts including email scraper.

Don't buy and use any software for ranking improvement, such software will lead your website to Google's penalty.

Try to do yourself, or outsource to any SEO company for manual SEO process.

All this "Don't buy a gun, you might kill yourself" is getting really tiresome. Any tool, be it software for link creation or hardware for hunting game, if used unintelligently you will suffer unintended consequences. But if use responsibly and intelligently, the results will put a smile on your face.

Back to the original question, probably not a good idea directly at your money site but should be ok for upper tier link blasting.
