Hello all, im still learning a lot through this site (its all there if you look) but I just have one question at the moment. I have been looking at the competition for certain keywords using "...", now what confuses me is if I search without using these then obviously the competition rises dramatically. So whats with the " " in the first place? Im guessing its because whatever competition comes up it will only be competition to the exact keyword/phrases I use, where as if I remove the speech marks then it finds any competition with any number or order of keywords - is this right?

I have been looking at the competition for certain keywords using "...", now what confuses me is if I search without using these then obviously the competition rises dramatically. Im guessing its because whatever competition comes up it will only be competition to the exact keyword/phrases I use, where as if I remove the speech marks then it finds any competition with any number or order of keywords - is this right?
So to conclude, if I find low competition to a certain keyword/phrase, if someone searching was to use my exact keywords/phrases without using speech marks then Im guessing my site (if made correctly with the rights tags etc) would be closer to number 1 on the search engine?
Please tell me Im at least a little bit correct lol, something pinged in my head last night that made me think I at least understood this - hopefully it is the case!
