Backlinking on Squidoo and Hubpages Question

If I create 2 accounts and submit an original article on Squidoo and Hubpages which become my tier 1 links.

What happens if I don't add my backlink to the original article, but go back a month or two later then edit my article to include the backlink?

How do the moderators treat this situation?

Reason being I figure that creating a 2.0 ASAP is a good strategy to building page maturity.

Also is it still even possible to use backlinks on Hubpages..I recall hearing they are strict.

It doesn't make a difference when you add your backlinks. Just make sure you don't overly promote. The articles have to be unique and of a good quality otherwise they will eventually get took down.

If you are using Hubpages you need an author hub score of 75 or more to have "dofollow" links in your articles, otherwise every link will be nofollow until you get 75 hub score.

    thanks guys.

I went to hubpages and forgot I even published an article there and it actually had a score of 74. I edited it and put my link in there and increased word count from 492 to 512...Also added an author pic and 'liked' my own article. Last I commented on two other related posts..Hopefully I get the bump in my score to 75!

  • Well google doesn't show squidoo as much love as they used to. Still it can't hurt to build links with them. Just make sure your using unique content thats relevant to your niche and your golden.
