Has EzineArticles gone No-Follow?

Is your link in the resource box or the article text?

Just checked my articles, all the links in the resource boxes are still dofollow.

That would suggest there is something else going on.

Links in the body are nofollow. The dofollow links are only available in the resource box of the author. It's been like this for a long time.

How were you ensuring that they were no follow did you view the source page? AFAIK ezine is do follow and never seen a link on any of my articles no follow... it is optional if people want no follow they can add that tag on their links. You may want to check if somehow the nofollow tag was added in your resource box.

Also about the quality I dont think that would be a factor, ezine is already strict on guidelines and quality so there wouldnt be room for another guideline for quality that granted nofollow or dofollow.

If you put a link to the body of your article, it will automatically become nofollow. But links from your resource box have no "nofollow" attribute.

Just like before.

Ezines went to nofollow in article links last spring (2011) when Google's Panda first hit. See this thread

as far as I know, the resource box is do-follow.

Ezine Article is providing do follow links and you can get plenty amount of traffic from the article directory if your content is informative and searchable.

Ezinearticles main content body links are nofollow, while resource box links are dofollow.

But anyways, when it comes to SEO, the whole page is indexed so it won't matter too much. Just put a link in both the content and resource box each, and you're pretty much done for that article.

But EZA is a waste of time imo. Especially if you are writing a unique article to get that link. I submit spun shit their all the time to diff accounts and it gets accepted. Its really not worth your time unless it takes you like 1 minute to get the link.

Nofollow, dofollow...doesn't matter in this case.

Ezine articles is a massive waste of time IMO.

"Links placed in the article body will automatically include the rel="NoFollow" attribute. All links placed in the Resource Box DO NOT have this attribute added."

I've never noticed any results from Ezine. Period.

I think link in resource box is dofollow and in body it is nofollow...

However, nofollow and dofollow don't matter these days, you need to concentrate on quality, relevancy, natural linking etc.

I just published another article on Ezine and everyone is right. The resource box is dofollow and main body is no follow. You have a maximum of 4 links to use so use them wisely!

Yes... The whole site has now gone nofollow. They claim that they are doing this for the good of all the publishers and readers and that nofollow sites tend to be associated with quality. They are operating under the claim that this is just a test to see what will get their publishers more traffic to their sites. They also claim that they always test and this is what led them to the conclusion of going nofollow. It is a decision that they say they wish they would have made a long time ago. However, they did state that if the nofollow proves not to be a wise choice then they may go back to dofollow. I highly doubt that they will though. I have been publishing to other directories ever since. Including the other EzineArticles.

I have been doing a lot of manual link building over the last couple of months and have managed to get a hand full of videos to rank number 1, 2, and 3 for various highly competitive keywords in my niche and I have seen major movement in the serps including #1 for one of my keywords... The site I have recently been working on is less than a month old and hit #1 for one of my keywords and major movement for my other keywords.

Right click on back link and click on inspect element - and now check no follow or not.

But now Ezine Articles 100% completely No Follow since September 11, 2014.
