Links to push site to page one

Hi, I've been lurking around Warrior Forum for quite some time, and I finally decided to start joining in. Learned a lot from this forum and now I need just a bit of help.

Now, I'm on page 2 for a number of keywords that are quite competitive and I know with a few authority links or a few powerful links I could get to page one. I don't want to just dive in and build any old links, this needs to be safe in the long term.

Any thoughts on what type of links to build would be appreciated.

    What kind of sites? Authority sites? A few solid guest blogging posts might help if so...

    There was a time when I probably would of suggested ALN for this, but not now. Really it's no good asking anyone here they haven't got a clue what your site needs. You could be lacking social signals, high pr links, link diversity, facebook likes etc. You need some seo reports for the first page and then work from that.

      This is true. If I am facing this problem, I would create a comparison table wherein all possible signals are plotted between competitions. Through this, I will be able to see where my website is weak at compared to my competitors' websites. There are many different tools you can use to make this comprehensive, including ahrefs, linkdiagnosis, and SEOlytics.

    It's a dating site, if that helps at all.

    I'm very familiar with on-page SEO and I can do a good job at that. I'm just never sure about link building, I don't want to do anything that would incriminate my site. It's an authority site with many pages and internal linking. I guess I could do with a guide for off-page SEO really, but I know they're mostly just garbage.

      Hi there, I am not a dating site, but as a professional matchmaker I am in almost same niche as you although I don't think we are vying for the same keywords, LOL. I found some fairly inexpensive and high quality links on Fiverr that my site to shoot up in the serps, I can share them with you if you like if you PM me.

      I've actually been analysing my competitors links and it appears all they have are a few directory listings. I can't believe this to be honest, do you think social signals are having a bigger impact here?

    Try some press releases ... they CAN be quality links from reputable sites, if you do it right.

    generate back-link from well reputed site allows you to have a link from more juicy sites .And link juice is what that make enable you to get wet with top ranking .Go with all link building techniques with relevancy to generate back-links.
