Hi all.

I am currently building a fake and unnatural pagerank checker and I am trying to figure out a good price point for monthly subscriptions.

The tool can:
  1. Detect fake rank
  2. detect unnatural pagerank, even for sites that have help their fake pagerank over a few months and google updates.

Honestly, how much would you being willing to pay to know if a site you are looking to buy has a fake or unnatural pagerank?

    Zero.

A monthly subscription for something that would only be used occasionally? Plus the fact that finding a free PR checkers, is simple.

You best be offering a lot more than what you said if you plan on charging for it.

This tool is of course aimed at warriors who buy domains more often than not.

Detecting fake pr and unnatural pr are sometimes completely different things.

A fake pr can very often fool a pr checker. The Google trick of info:sitename.com can be fooled. This is where you need to employ an unnatural pr checker.

Most of these sites are still in the infancy of building up their fake pr. They are still redirecting to the pr10 site. However, once they have settled I suspect the admin will link them together and throw in a few low pr sites. All in the hope of boost the low pr sites.

Once that fake pr linking has all settled, chances are a lot of the site in that network will be settling on pr5+ and this will be in 3-4 months. Backlink checkers will show a nice set of pr5+ inbound links and as long as the admin remembers to hack his way around web archiving sites and alike, there will be very little left of his fake pr trail.

Those fake and unnatural pr sites will hit the market and unsuspecting buyers will pay out $50-$80 thinking they have snapped up a great deal. Only to find that the nice inbound link portfolio rapidly vanishes and the site loses pr.

Sadly this happens A LOT and there are hundreds of fake pr farms. This one is just a drop in the ocean.

I think you may set a amount for checking per domain. It will be hard to get monthly subscriber.

If you really want to make money you should offer it for free for an email opt in, then you will have a really hightly targeted list of people who are most likely in the niche website game/website monetization market.

Marketing seo services would be a breeze if you build enough trust and value with the list.

Build a brand, not a website

Nice idea Red. Im currently testing the water to see what people need and price they are willing to pay. Mainly because the software will bring a pretty hefty fee for me for the various premium APIs it will involve.

If i can give any type of advice, it's easier to sell expensive stuff to rich people than selling cheap stuff to poor people.

Create a VERY high quality service at a premium price and you'll do much better. Tying that into something else might see you better results, but then again it is all about testing.
