I will setting up some new micro niche and wanted to put these on a new hosting account. Right now I have some on Hostgator and others on Hostmonster.

I want to find a 3rd hosting company that is very reliable and with the usual features of unlimited bandwith, domains, CPanel with Wordpress install, etc.

Any good suggestions that is also not too expensive per month?

      Thanks for your suggestion.

Also anyone haven any feedback on these companies:

      Bluehost
      JustHost
      Fatcow
      Dreamhost

Are any of these good ones to use?

By the way does the hosting company have any sort of effect on ranking a site at all? I've read and seen people talk about this before, but not exactly sure if it's legit.

The truth is that very few hosting companies are unreliable, and if they are, you'll find out very quickly with a Google search.

Bluehost, JustHost, and Fatcow are the same company: EIG. I'd avoid them entirely.
    Dreamhost is passable.
JaguarPC and Froghost are much better unlimited hosts.

Yes. .... and I says so, too! :p

I've been away from the Warrior Forum for far too long. I'll stick around for a while, see what's new.
Found a few good things already.

iPage is one of the older EIG brands, and one of the worst of them. Same goes for Godaddy, EIG, Dreamhost, Site5 and several other "big name brand" hosts. Their market recognition was largely bought (via affiliate payouts), and not earned in any way.

Awesome, good to see another WHT'er over here. There's quite a few good things over here. Unfortunately most of the hosts running offers have either sold out or packed up shop. You know the deal already.. Summertime is here, so I assume there'll be some more showing up.

Why do you need "unlimited" space & bandwidth? Any company that is selling you that is clearly lying to you, regardless of how big the company is. There's no such thing. Read their TOS and you will find that you are in fact limited. Google "suspended by HostGato", or put any other unlimited hosts name in there.

99% of the mainstream web hosts offering unlimited services are extremely overloaded.

You may think I'm being biased because I own a web hosting company, but we strictly limit how many accounts are on each server. This has proven time and time again that our customers would rather pay a few bucks more to have a well managed & well performing infrastructure. That's not to try to get you to buy from us, but don't go with an unlimited host.

There's been a couple web hosts come through Warrior Forum offering unlimited this and that, then they flop. One was ProudHosts - they sold everyone on this unlimited cloud hosting, and come to find out it was 1,000's of accounts piled on one server.

You need to look for a provider that treats their customers as valued customers, not just another account.

    Look for this:

    RAID 10
    CloudFlare
    Backups
    LiteSpeed

Apache web server, honestly is getting deprecated. LiteSpeed runs 10 times better and uses less resources. At least this is my opinion. Even out of the box it runs great.

CloudFlare will aid in site performance by caching your static content all over the world, thus cutting down on load times.

    Backups, better safe than sorry.

RAID 10 is pretty much the standard today. It boasts great redundancy & higher performance when it comes to I/O.

If you're looking for the cheapest web hosting, that's the quality you're going to get. Little small times companies offering big packages only to sell them a few months later to another company to clean up the mess. We have just acquired BrightVPS (VPS Hosting Company) and have a lot of problems because they oversold so massively. Poor performance & frequent downtime.

If you have any questions, let me know. There's only a handful of people on this forum who actually know what they're talking about regarding hosting. Most of the people pushing HostGator 9 times out of 10 are affiliates somewhere down the line.

Question for the original poster: What demand/need does your business have that makes the third account necessary?

And I'd like to throw in my two cents about all the EIG hosts.

EIG's marketing is annoying and I wouldn't want to run a company like theirs. To be fair, the quality of each of their hosts varies, but even the crappiest of them will still be fine for sites with small resource demands (which is most sites on shared hosting).

Well I had quite a few sites get hit by the Penguin update and I wanted to start over again with by getting new domains and starting up the same niches again that were at least money makers. Since they will be about the same sites I thought I should just start fresh and put these new sites on a new hosting since I will also be doing some new Amazon affiliate sites as well.

So then the overall recommendation is not to go with any of the popular ones out there that seem to be ranked in the top 10 by many sites?

They are ranked in the "top 10" because they are the highest paying affiliates. If you notice, 90% of the so called "review sites" have pretty much the same hosts on them. Hover over the link, you'll either see the link with some "Aff-id" or something along those lines, or the review site url/out.

Most of these affiliates are making a ton of money by referring people to some of these hosts only to have bad experiences & crappy service.

I use a really good independent hosting company thats based over here in the UK. They're not cheap though, costs me around $160 a month but does everything I need it to do and more.

Will be happy to pass on their details to you if you like.

Of all the faux "unlimited" hosting Hostgator is probably the best. If you get a second account with them, you are most likely to get a new class C ip and accomplish what you need.

That said, I would consider Kingfish85's advice the best here.

Thanks for the compliment regarding my advice, although, a class C IP address doesn't give any advantage over an A or B. It's just a waste of an IP honestly.

Well aren't most of these hosting companies pretty liable as far as uptime. I'm not going to be doing tons of traffic, but just need something that is reliable day in and day out without any issues that will host like 20-25 micro niche sites.

Aren't companies like bluehost, dreamhost, and others sufficient enough to handle what I need compared to some of the more expensive options out there?

After reading so many obvious desperate affiliate marketing review sites, and links (as well as reseller) from the internet including this forum I think the person who knows what they are talking about the most is KingFish85. And checking out the website the it looks very nice and professional, no sales pitch. just facts. I am shocked that so many of the bigger name sites dont make it clear what type of servers they use, or where.

I am a novice launching my first website, but this website is not a small task, its a full ecommerce site and the main function is wholesale physical goods from china (where I am). I decided to use Prestashop because many people said that it was lighter, and more importantly, much easier for a beginner to use. My question is how difficult would it be to set up using VopaHost?

I would just like to add that 100GB bandwidth on business acct is allot! of traffic (esspecially for a new site) and actually, the speed on this server will be faster for the visitors (as it seems to me anyways) because there will not be so many IM resource whores on there hahaha. For me I will have allot of product pictures, which i want to load fast. Just like customers of smartphones have learned, unlim. internet plan isnt really limited.

Depending on your requirements, shared hosting may work, or it may not work. If you're just starting out, you would be fine in most cases. Once your site starts requiring resources, a VPS would be your upgrade path. Feel free to shoot me a PM or contact us via our website if you'd like to go into more detail.

We have actually just "doubled up" our plan specs. I can guarantee you that our servers are well kept, & perform better than a lot of providers. We're also not running a mickey-mouse service here, we take pride in what we do, especially myself.

Look to companies like stablehost, mddhost, and veerotech. All look pretty solid from research.

Also, you don't need unlimited storage or bandwidth so don't let quality hosts slip by when they offer quality rather quantity. You won't need those "unlimited" resources anyway since your sites will likely take up no more than a few gigs of space (micro niche sites right?).

Stable and mdd can be snatched up for like $30 - 50 PER YEAR if you find a decent coupon code. And veerotech has nothing but glowing reviews from what I have seen though they are a little more expensive.
