Has anyone else noticed how easy it is to find extremely easy keywords post penguin. I don't know if it's the niche I was researching or what, when I checked to see if .com,.net, or .org was available they were all taken yet none were in serps, which makes me think they were wiped out during the last Google algo change.

Normally I stick to authority sites in medical field but that seems to be a bit harder to rank post penguin, and since I need money now I'm going to experiment with micro niche sites.

These sites will not have crappy content or the average run of the mill templates, you know the ugly green and black ones lol. Also each one will be at least 20 pages excluding privacy, contact us, and about us pages.

I think those who purchased the keyword domains that couldn't be found in SERPs just want to keep them, make them aged, and sell them for a better price in the future whenever someone is very much interested. I've been using TrafficTravis to uncover niche keyword, but lately I have found there are more you can find using MarketSamuri.

This is one thing I dont understand, does traffic travis give you keyword ideas? Or do you have to type in a keyword and traffic travis shows you other keywords relating to it? If you have to put in your own keyword then I just dont see how this is any different than google keyword tool.

You might be right, also there are plenty of different reasons those bought domains aren't showing up in the serps now that I think about it.

I use micro niche finder first to get keyword ideas and to check number of backlinks on first page, than I use traffic travis to double check, just don't want to leave anything to chance.

I found 7 keywords with n/a as top ten results meaning none of the top ten has any links to those pages, and pr is n/a.

I also spotted plenty of ugly micro niche sites with exact match domains, so the whole micro niche site model is alive and well I suppose.

One of the sites built on John Robinson's model (one of thousands) is still ranking I see. "red microwave ovens" It was built with that green/black template, but has been changed. Still a one page site though and it is still ranking high, so I guess MN sites can survive.

regarding to crappy content, imo you don't want to have tooo quality content for your mns. it doesn't has to be crappy but finding the happy medium is a good idea with micro niche sites i think. because if you have content that answers all questions of the reader, usually they don't click the ads very often. so content should be general and not too specific and detailed. that is how micro niche sites work usually.
The top ten results were all inner pages, and yea I know what you mean about the content.
