My article directory is indexed but not getting traffic why not?
- SEO |
I think I have a lot of outbound links maybe it looks too "sales-pitchy" to Google?
I know it's new but it's been indexed for about a month and not a single visitor yet.
Please review my website's home page (plus the "Submit Articles" page!!!)
I came up with an original idea (it may exist out there but I haven't heard of it before) where I allow people who Submit Articles to my site to get their clickbank affiliate link embedded in the banners displayed on the sides of my articles.
My aff id is embedded in the other links on the page including any header banners that may or may not be there.
I have written articles at article directories that paid me a whopping total of FIFTY CENTS for several articles because they pay after a thousand impressions.
And I've submitted to GoArticles (which I'm now staying COMPLETELY AWAY FROM) advertising affiliate stuff. I haven't made a single sale on ClickBank yet!!!
This site is sort of a "practice" website, I have other projects in the works that are going to be more value-driven but this site was sort of to break the ice and actually get started BUILDING SOMETHING instead of DAYDREAMING ABOUT IT (which I did FAR TOO LONG!!!)
--I did some research and think I may have started with too many outbound links which may be bringing down rankings.
So with that theory I stopped using top banners on new articles as a general rule of thumb.
My next sites will be more value-filled but I would've thought I would've made money simply with what I have???
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks - Joe.
