Hi,

I'm setting up a couple of bring the fresh-style sites, I was wondering if backlinking services offered on fiverr are usually good, or if I would be better getting backlinks from another source

cheers

Best to do it manually - fiverr can be very very good but you have to root out the good ones first.

I really don't trust fiverr for back links. But they do have some other pretty good services.

The only people recommending Fiverr link packages these days are those who are selling them.

Backlinking packages from Fiverr can kill your site. I've seen it pretty often. Ranking sites is not the same game it used to be and throwing a bunch of junk links to your sites will get them penalized quick.

There's a lot of blanket statements here about how fiverr is all bad...

What are you using the links for? What kind of links are you looking to buy? What kind of keyword research did you do?

    How competitive is the keyword/niche?

Just saying that fiverr is bad, you have to look at what you are trying to do with the links. I've recently used a few fiverr links and they are just fine.

The funny thing is, if you go to the Warrior services section or find some so-called specialist online and buy links you really don't know what you are getting.

A lot of those guys probably charge you $150 for a link package, then go and buy $10 worth of fiverr gigs to do your order.

Are you sending the links to your main site, or supporting sites?

Anything can be good if you use right, and anything can suck if you overuse it.

Because the OP mentioned Fiverr specifically. I'd say the same about unnatural links of any kind.

If your aim is to deindex a competitors site then YES fiverr gigs are excellent at doing that.

        ---

On another note, people still dont seem to realize that natural backlinking and great content are the only things that work.

I did get an unnatural link penalty for an affiliate site after purchasing a fiverr gig to send articles via these blog network type services!

But it is not the gigs that are either good or bad. They tend to do exactly what they say they will do.

So it is your decisions as a marketer in terms of what services you specifically request to be done in terms of backlinks and how you combine that with other promotions that determines if they are succesful.

They are not the sort of things to look at as ordering one gig and that will boost your rankings alone, but potentially one part of an overall backlinking plan.

So it is more down to the outsourcing ability of the marketer that will determine if they work or not I reckon.

I second what Wally247 is saying. Fiverr links can be good... it just depends on what kind of links you're buying, and the site it's going to.

I wouldn't hesitate buying links from a Fiverr gig - look for the highest rated gigs w/ lots of great feedback. I think the .EDU and wiki backlinks will give you a good bang for your buck! Also try some of the Press Release gigs.

    Good luck!

My advice: on no account buy backlinks from Fiverr, unless you want to risk your site being penalized or even de-indexed by Google.

These threads (among others) illustrate/explain why ...

Don't imagine that ".edu backlinks" are worth anything extra at all just because they're on the pages of domains with a .edu extension. That's completely wrong, as explained here: http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ml#post5994962

If you consider that fiverr packages are bad for websites, what is your opinion on the websites that sell seo packages, services and other stuff related to seo.

Most of them are selling just the same type of services, that are on fiverr.......BUT....... MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.

I will say one thing, to you and to other people that are putting all the services from fiverr in a bad light:
        - I have a lot of people and resellers (people that buy from me and sell my service MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE in their profit) that are keep returning to order my service for almost over one year.

Regarding SEO, it's the same, if they're using/offering spammy automated software services for backlinking, because that's crap and nonsense and it rightly gets people's sites penalized.

But overall, Fiverr leaves a worse taste in my mouth than many other sites, because of all the flagrant breaches of copyright, sales of stolen material, and blatantly fraudulent "testimonial services" for sale there.

You misunderstood me (perhaps in your zeal to promote your own Fiverr services and tell us how people resell them for more money): I've been a happy customer at Fiverr. I'm not putting all the services in a bad light. There are many services I like there, and many I've happily bought. But there are also some dangerous and ill-advised ones, some spammy ones, some scammy ones and some downright illegal ones. However reluctant you may be, yourself, to admit it, all of that is simply factual and readily verifiable by anyone who spends 10 minutes looking.

My view of Fiverr (including comments about my happy customer experiences there) is here.

The majority of backlink gigs on Fiverr are trash. Any gig offering hundreds or thousands of links are using software and those backlinks are all worthless and possibly harmful to the ranking of your website.

That being said, I know there are a few good Fiverr sellers out there with legit backlink gigs. The key is to find a high rated gig that offers under 10 links to PR 3 or higher websites. The low amount of links with a high rating usually ensures that it is quality work.

Gosh, some people here are still living a year ago in gambling world, that by chucking a load of junk backlinks at their site they will achieve riches and stay there. This is a myth and a pretty harmful one both for your site/s and for your business as a whole. In short like Suzanne, Joe and Alexa have said, under no circumstances buy links from Fiverr or any other junk marketplace.

No it doesn't it's ALL junk, i mean seriously do you think paying $5 for some links on a one off basis will help your site one iota? I hope you will tell me the answer is no and if anything it could harm your site/s. Giving any advice to the contrary is misguided advice.

There are a couple of quality backlink services in Fiverr but you must do your due diligence and check the sellers feedback and ratings

If you know what to look for you can find some gems. Just be careful when dealing with some providers, or they may actually make your situation worse off than it was.

I bought several fiverr backlink packages for a couple of new niche websites a few months back. After the gigs were completed I went through and looked at the back links that were placed. Most links were worthless and of low quality. I can assure you I won't be doing that again...

There is a fiverr package that I've used a lot that is fantastic. I don't know if the guy is still in business or not, because I really don't build links AT ALL anymore...it's too much of a hassle, and there are other ways.

With that said, I have used some gigs pretty recent and yes...they CAN be good if you know what to buy, and how to use it.

Again...who is to say that if you buy links from ANYONE on the internet that they aren't using the same programs as the fiverr guys use?

You really don't, so to say "fiver is always bad" is kind of generic. If you want to go that route, then let's all agree that ALL PAID LINKS are bad and not recommended and can get you in trouble.

The most penalties I've suffered in the past year have been at the hands of a blog network that I was in charge of using.....I wrote the content, I posted and I got penalized, and I hardly consider myself a "bad" or "untrustworthy" source.

It came down to the type of link...and I was using the wrong one for long-term success.

With that said again....the gig I was using a while back at fiverr was awesome. It was a gig that basically looked exactly like something a person would do manually, but I'm sure he used some automation...of course he did.

The point is that the gig was a great one. I had success with it. I have zero sites that are de-indexed and I used that gig on all of my sites.

I don't use fiverr anymore for the most part, but it's still a very general statement to say "all fiverr gigs are bad" without exception.

I bet at least one SEO service right here at WF is just awful and could get a site in trouble too.

For the record....I'm sure 99% of the gigs are pretty worthless, but worthless has a place in society quite obviously, and there are a few gems there...so there's that.

      Nobody said that, though, Wally.

Many people said that using Fiverr backlink-building gigs is potentially dangerous without exception. And that's true.

If you know what you are getting, fiverr gigs can be pretty helpful. A good example would be getting a Squidoo lens from a featured writer.

We have used Fiverr for Backlinking and had mixed results. We didn't see any improvement in page rank but got traffic and leads from them somehow, so that's cool too. Everything counts :-)

You might want to keep track of which services you have used and track their individual impact.

I tink that fiverr is good if you buy using your head.

Fiverr can be addictive. I think it has to be clear that 10,000 High Quality backlinks for $ 5 sounds like it's not real.

I think it's best to buy the "expensive packages," as I do. If I see 100 High PR blog coments by $ 5 and 1 coment PR7 own blog (only 25 OBL), I think there is no doubt where to leave the money.

The problem is that the abaricia and impatience betrays us many times. No, I'm doing my collection of gigs.

Would be interesting to create a post where everyone put their gigs that do work.

      Have a nice day!

  • Your paying someone 5 dollars to create backlinks for you. Understand that its most likely going to be automated and spammed to death backlinks. Meaning high OBL and little to ZERO value. That being said there are a few services on fiverr that is justifiable for the 5 dollars. But good luck finding them.
