Does Negative SEO exist?

Okey, I just really want to test if negative seo really true or not. I have a site that rank #6 for a certain keyword.

Today I started to apply 100K back link to the site using the exact keyword the site is ranking.

BTW the site is been in first page for that keyword for more than 4 years now. This is the reason I choose it to make the experiment.

I will update this thread if there are movements of the site. If after 3 days and there is no movement I will apply another 100K back link again.

Make sure the links are identical, that they are all the same type, and that they are all going to the homepage. It is likely to take more than three days for google to find all the backlinks and to process them, but you should see negative results in a couple of weeks or so. Make sure you have a Google webmaster account set up so that you can get the bad link warning message. For best effect, you may want to have google analytics on the account as well. Google says they don't share that data, but who knows.

    Good (bad?) luck!

Yes that what I did all point to home base and after 1 week I will apply another 100K if nothing happens. And added to my webmaster tool and analytics

Yes negative SEO for sure exists and the way you are going about it will ensure your site will be penalised by google heavily pretty soon. Why would you want to deliberately sabotage your site?

For the sake of proven is really there. It's easier to believe if you experience your self.

Well you've been warned. I am slightly surprised that someone with your amount of time and posts on this forum would do something like this, i mean surely you would have learned by now that this is a sure fire way to ruin your site. Good luck if Paulgl arrrives to this thread LOL.

Anyways I dont think negative SEO is really possible for older domains
Absolute baloney and this kind of mis information is what has gotten so many people into the mess they find their current sites and businesses in general. Do you seriously think that by chucking a load of junk links at your site you will get to page 1, make money and stay there? I hope you will tell me the answer is no!

Negative SEO is just code for,
"Google must just love me so someone must be doing
something to bring my site down. It just can't be that
google don't love my site. Can't be! (Falls to ground
        pounding ground, crying,...)"

You people have way too much time on your hands.
        Way too much.

How about this: Work on your own site. Gee! What a concept!

Now, how are we going to believe anything from a so called, "test"?

        Just because you say so?

It rained here the other day. On that very
day, my adsense earnings dropped from the previous day
about 25%. (True story). Now I have it figured out.
When it rains here, my site drops. Now that's what I call
a test! I'm going to move to a rain-free location. Man
        I can smell the money!

Here's some truth. You get 100K GREAT links, google may
actually love it. That's what going viral means.

You people think google is under some obligation to
        just follow your instructions.

If this negative SEO were so true, then what do you think
the idiots on fiverr would be doing? They'd be making
millions, NOT working on fiverr, but working for every
bonehead who wants to be at number one!

Just think of the constant fluctuation of SERPS!

Here's a thought. How about doing positive SEO on
        YOUR own sites!

If people actually worked hard on their own sites, this
        thread would be nonexistent.

I know. Negative SEO works. Sometimes. Somewhere.
...er....it should. Well, maybe...my cousin says...

Do you people want to make money or not?
When? Today? Never? The choice is yours.

More voodoo SEO. I can't be #1 so, dang it! You
        aint gonna be neither!

What does come out of it all is that spamming does exist but extreme excessive spamming cant take down an honest site.

No matter how many backlinks you build/apply, but make sure that backlinks looks like natural else your site may be affected with Google penguin update and go under penalty. I would suggest you to go through google optimization tips in their webmaster tools support site.
