Any advise? (After Panda/Penguin Updates)

I am planning on building 5 niche sites. Each keyword has monthly searches anywhere from 1000-5000 locally. I have ordered 5 articles each for the sites.

Anybody recommend any backlink strategies to rank the site on Google after panda/penguin updates?

Thanks

Sounds like you are trying to build some MNS, which in my opinion are a waste of time. Being you are only making MNS and outsourcing articles, it doesn't sound you will be putting that much quality in your work. Micro Niche Sies were pre- panda and penguin, it's time you start doing some post panda thinking -Authority Sites-

Anyway, to get traffic these days I suggest SEO, social media, relevant forums posting, guest blogging, and actually writing original and unique articles yourself. No more blackhatseo tacticts like buying backlinks, scrapping articles, anything that is not organic or real traffic you need to stop.

    With much luck,

Select a good domain as possible, make reviews (originals), add backlinks from social networks and build a clear and nice site so visitors feel confortables and want to stay

Try first that, a guy member of this forum is amazon succsseful according his words and he makes basicaly something like this and he have traffic and commissions

Make sure you use variety in your backlinking. Variety in the type of backlinks and in the keywords. Also, don't build hundreds of backlinks very quickly. Drip them over time. Backlinking variety and consistency are key post panda/penguin.

You can use the MNS approach to target winning keywords/niches but once you find winners, you should build them out. I understand not wanting to invest too much into authority types sites before getting them profitable but these days Google is looking for more quality content and more of it.

    Hello Chance,

It's good to know that you opened this thread. We were able to ask the same so we can apply the same to our content writing services. We tried searching through Google Webmaster and we can't seem to find an update for Google Penguin update as of July 2012.

Fellow Warriors, if anyone of you has an update, please do share it with everyone. Thank you.

Hi, a lot of people are misled by panda / penguin update.

Article submission is a evergreen method. I use it before and after panda / penguin update. There is no impact at all. My site is ranking well.

The article submission is not the problem. It's the "micro niche site" stuff that won't work anymore. Google values Authority. Always has, but way more now after Panda/Penguin.

It is an evergreen method, but it depends on the quality of the article. If it was poorly written or spun content, then the last two google updates punished the articles and the sites it linked to.

Yes I fully agreed. My content of articles is always original and good quality. So I don't feel any impact from panda / penguin update even for micro niche sites.

Sorry that I cannot understand this impact since I only post quality content. "Content" is king.

I agree with Alex. Perhaps, Kyle was referring to some other thing?

Google seems to give more importance to Social backlink these days.
But traditional link building has vital role at all, like directory submission, blog commenting. One such strategy which you can look for is guest posting, this is my favourite

Thank you for everybody who has posted on this thread. I have been searching for the past couple of weeks or so for the ultimate method of backlinking (if there is a one after all).

As you all agree from most of posts above, I have come to the following conclusions.

Social backlinking seem to be very effective. (Good amount from high PR sites, not 1000s spammed backlinks)
    Article submission (Has always worked)
    Anchor/Keyword variety

High quality original content (Without a high keyword density – 1%)
Over all good amount of various backlinking high quality/PR/niche related. (Wiki, niche related, edu/gov)

I have 3 sites ready to go to test out. All 3 sites with main keyword having 1500-4000 searches for a month and 5 high quality articles on each. These are micro niche sites. All sites have 90% keyword match domain name.

    Site 1 -
Only social backlinking. Very few amount from high PR sites. Will be build every week.

    Site 2 -
I have ordered one of those packages everyone seem to be selling here on Warrior Forum consisted of article submissions, social networking sites, forum profiles, social bookmarks, web 2.0 profiles and wiki links.

    Site 3 -
    Only web 2.0 (every month)

I will post the updates of sites within a month.

    Thanks.
