The question is not so much about how quickly Google will pick up the links. I think what I am asking is if the per hour rate of the labour is fair compared to other companies who are doing manual links.

Sorry, but I dont understand your reference to the word 'viral' as it pertains to backlinks.

If you are paying for links, no wonder you don't know the word viral.

What'd you get? An EMD, hosting, wordpress....then pay for links?

2+2 sometimes equals zero.

Paying for links is fine. But paying by the hour for some knucklehead,
boy, I dunno folks.

Maybe it's just me, but I notice the mentality changes not even with
all the fail threads here.

The issue now is getting the other 10 ranked and to #1 for those already on first page.

Honestly, I don't think that's reasonable. You are averaging 3.4 submissions per hour. I think it's doable within three to four hours assuming you already have a list.

Even without a list, the output mentioned can still be done in less than the hours specified, except there are measures the submitter needed to follow, like it should all be PR2 and above sites, or the backlinks of each site should be at least 1k.

To the OP, I can't really tell if it's a reasonable pace. There are many things we can consider, like if they are using different entries in each submission, if all those links are dofollow and other things.

It depends on how much links you get over time. If you get a hundered links in a day and no more links after that, google will punish you! It is safer to build a small amount of links every day over a longer period of time. After a while you can increase the amount of linkes.

I'm not sure what you are paying but I doubt it is worth it. You'll see very little ROI with just Directory Submissions and Social Bookmarks. I don't care how they post them. You need to hire a provider that will incorporate in-content links. Any SEO company worth its salt won't be building directory submissions and social bookmarks exclusively.

Didn't you ask for thorough details on their strategy for your site before you hired them?

How can you order from them if you don't know what their game plan is?

There are SEO services that will build thousands of links to your site a month and others that will build less than a hundred.

There are SEO services that will use software and others that will build them manually site specific for your keyword.

You should already have an idea what to expect when you hire them.

Of course I was aware of the strategy. However link building rate was not discussed and I have used other manual link builders in the past that have done more like 20 links per hour. Hence the question to the community.

Its not a question of strategy, its a question of output. Thats all I am asking.

Hi Jim, How much you are paying them for this 20 hours?
This is important don't go for the speed they are doing.

20 hours:

56 directory listings
12 social bookmarks

But as per my experiences in 8 hours time we can easily do 100 bookmarking along with 100 directory submission in high pr websites.

I am not guessing am doing this speed of work for all my link building works
