Hey guys!

One of my Amazon review sites was ranked 5th yesterday. Today I see it on Page 3. What's going on? I've only used Social Bookmarks and YouTube as backlinks. Could it be negative SEO and if it is how do I find out?

Thanks.

Sanj.

99% sure it's probably not negative SEO

How old is your site? How long have you had the #5 ranking?

If your site is under a month old (or even more), then its most likely doing the google dance.

There's tons of factors that it could be, especially with google's newest updates.

If google thinks the links you build are unnatural it is going to penalize it. If the content is over optimized, its a new site, etc.

I seem to remember you posting about some new sites in the last month or so, so I'm guessing this is one of those new sites.

Do some reading up on Google Dance and Google Honeymoon Period and you should find some answers.

Have you been linking back to your website using the same keyword as the anchor text? If so, you should start neutralizing that now. On your next link building, try to use variations of the keywords you are targeting. You might have been spotted pushing too hard, making Google alarmed enough to bury your site a bit.

Hey guys thanks for the response!

I created the site on the 06/07/2012 and it was ranked by 09/07/2012. That was before I ran some Social Bookmarks and Youtube videos at it. Just to confirm all my techniques are strictly WHITE HAT. I don't use SENuke X or spun content.
