I would say that you need not work separately for Bing and Yahoo if you are working in an appropriate manner for Google taking care of all the essentials. The effort that you put into to having a better ranking in Google also works for Bing and Yahoo.

This is the same line of thinking I take. Focus on google and that work will also help with the others.

Definitely agree here. The only time I've actually tried to specifically rank for Yahoo or Bing is if the niche is valuable enough that the lower traffic will still make for a profitable (and time-worthy) investment, otherwise I don't specifically go after either.

As soon as the contract expires between Yahoo & Bing, Bing traffic will drop like a brick.

Most of the traffic came from Google so no special care about Yahoo/Bing if they don't follow the same SEO rules as Google does.

I usually just aim at ranking in Google as Bing and Yahoo traffic is so small for my sites

That said these days I am more focused on generating traffic then I am ranking in Search Engines, I get a lot of my traffic from Social Media sources

Yahoo and Bing also important search engine for any site/blog. More people like to use Bing and Yahoo. If any one try to increase search rank in Google then it will automatically increase in Yahoo and Bing as i know and i'm also using same technique for all search engine.

    Thanks

Tough call these days. Logic says to focus on Google, since it gets roughly 63% of all searches. Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more difficult these days to rank on Google, so paying some attention to Bing/Yahoo isn't a bad idea. The best strategy in my opinion is to focus on Google, with an eye on your Bing/Yahoo ranking. Your site typically ranks on Bing/Yahoo when you target Google, so worst case scenario you still have Bing/Yahoo to fall back on.

I never intentionally do anything to rank in yahoo and bing.. I only concentrate on Google.. But, Unintentionally rarely when I check my keywords will be not only ranking for Google but rank in Yahoo and bing.. They don't traffic as much as what Google gets you..

For any sites that I have that have fallen foul of google, but still in the top 10 of yahoo/bing, I just backlink them big time to get to the top in yahoo/bing. With google out of the equation in this case, I don't have to be as cautious with the links.

Of course, If a site is doing well in google, then my approach is different :-)

SEO for all those are same... just do search engine optimization. SEO will improve the site quality and will boost In SEs.. but for the same position 80% traffic from Google only.. and remaining others will share.. So just improve the quality by SEO and forget other thinks....
