How to make a Blogger blog's front page static?

I have this one problem with my Blogger blog... I'd like to make the front page static using one post of mine.

Can anyone tell me how this can be done conveniently?

    The way I do it is to change the post date ahead 10 years. When you write or edit a post, there's a link at the bottom called "Post Options" Click it and it will allow you to set the display date of the post.

      Thanks for the tip but this is not exactly what I'm looking for. I'd like to do that in a similar manner as it can be done in wordpress (Settings > Reading > Front page displays).

      Any other suggestions?
