Hello warriors,

I heard that Youtube partners usually get about 1$ per 1000 views.

But does it also works for Youtube non-partners?

Thanks in advance

As I know in order to earn from Youtube you have to be partner, people who just own a channel cannot earn from Youtube. You need to be approved as a Youtube partner.

Google only pays those who have ads, like adsense users who
have youtube channels. For big channels, they probably
      have other deals.

      Now for the unicorn sitings:
I read somewhere a long time ago that google was supposedly
paying high volume youtube channels. I have read differing
rates, from pennies to dollars. This option is only for those
who are youtube partners, supposedly. I've heard they
pay something like "royalties" (but not royalties) to
      famous people, bands, etc.

If anyone has real, concrete evidence from google that they
pay per view, please share it. I've read all sorts of nonsense
and all sorts of figures, but not a single line from google.

Of course google now has pay per view to charge you. Don't
      know if that's fully developed.

This is funny to follow as no one is actually giving you an answer...

Let me explain, (and i don't even use youtube i just know this from being on the forums a while, so if there is a youtube pro out there please correct me)

First you open a youtube account, then if you'r videos start to get popular youtube will send you a letter saying you are eligible for monetization. Once approved you can then allow ads on your videos to start making money.

The exact rate of which you earn how very little to do with your partner status, but rather what niche you are in. It's all supply and demand. If your channel is extremely targetted towards say... mesothelioma which notoriously has ridiulously high cpc's, then you'll make a lot of money. No one expect the actual adsense owners know the rates they make just like in normal adsense.

Could you make that amount without being a partner? yes. You need to have a few popular videos first though so youtube will ask you to apply for monetization.

RedClickSeo, thanks for additional information but it stills no answers my question.

On Youtube, there are basically 2 ways to get paid :

    1) By clicks (people click on ads on the Youtube video)
    2) By views (people just watch the Youtube video without clicking on ads)

I repeat again my question :

Youtube non-partners are paid by clicks, yes I know.
But, are they are also paid for views (I mean, people visit their video without clicking on ads)?

Basically, I want to know if it's possible for a Youtube non-partner to be paid if he generated a lot of views and 0 clicks for example?

Hey there. I believe you do get paid for page views but only when adds are viewed e.g. at the start of the video. To determine how much is very difficult to tell and it seems that you only get paid like a very small amount after several views permitted adds are viewed also. Actual clicks on adds seems to count for much more. I would say you get paid so little for pageviews that to me it seems quite insignificant to mention. I am not an expert in this at all and not perfectly sure how they calculate all of this. Not sure if anyone really knows. Does Google Pay per pageview?
People are confirming very small payments after several pageviews and it seems to be the case with my adsense as well.

    Maybe the following explanation helps.
CPM stands for "cost per 1000 impressions." Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served, select the specific sites on which to show their ads, and pay each time their ad appears.

For publishers, this means revenue in your account each time a CPM ad is served to your page. CPM ads compete against pay-per-click (or CPC, cost per click) ads in our ad auction, so only the highest performing ads will be served to your pages. Advertisers will need to bid a higher CPM than the existing CPC ads in order to show.

CPM ads can be either text or image ads, and are always site-targeted. CPM text ads will expand to take up the entire ad unit. These expanded text ads can be viewed on our Ad Formats page.

Can anyone else help to clarify? Although I am trying to help here I am just wondering if the question asked is really important? The fact is if one get's paid for video views then it is so insignificant that people are actually questioning whether you actually get paid for pageviews. I think this is an answer in itself.

PS: Just to clarify, yes non-partners get paid for video views. I however am trying very hard to become a youtube partner as I believe you get paid much more - somehow sharing in some kind of revenue (not sure how this works). Just know from what I heard that there is definitely incentives for being a youtube partner.

Apologies it is like 3:55 in the morning here. I mentioned page views a couple of times. I meant video views. Apologies.
