Recovering from BMR Induced Penalty

Has anyone recovered from a Build My Rank induced penalty? I have had a number of sites that have been penalised by them but none of them have recovered. This is despite removing all links, adding new content and using some white-hat methods for link building. I only recieved an unnatural link building e-mail for one of the domains but all 3 have been hit. Has anyone sucessfully recovered from this and did they send reconsideration requests?

Yes, with a 301 to an aged domain (old site -> new homepage). Not guaranteed to work, but it does work in most cases.

Yea I recovered a few sites as well by just building back a bunch of high PR links. It didn't work for all of them but worked great for a few.

I have been building links some with PR and it hasn't made a difference. Even if I try and build links to sub-pages that are showing on page 3 and 4 for some of my keywords those sub-page suddenly tank as well.

When penguin happened I stuck it out for about 2 weeks, then started to build new websites. Deindexed the old ones and started fresh. A number of those websites are now already on page one again. I started fresh and it is working better than trying to fix something that is broken.

if you are building websites for affiliate marketing, then do not sit arround waiting for your 3 websites to come back. build 10 or 20 new websites in the mean time. I now have twice the amount of websites than I had before penguin.

if you are building for your brand / own product / own service, then do the same, build a bunch of keyword rich exact match domains websites, get them indexed and ranked and send the traffic to your sales page.

Do not sit and "wait" for things to come right from google, it may never again... Just build more and see what sticks...

I know what you mean but I do find this very annoying. I don't do affiliate marketing, my websites were brand related and I got hit for taking shortcuts. Lesson learned.
