.info PR difference from .com/net/org?

Fellow Warriors,

I've come across a great long tail keyword with a .info domain available and little competition.

Say we have 2 domains, exact same keyword optimization, SEO etc, does the domain extension of .info hurt/hinder more than a .com/.net.org?

  • What matters is the number of incoming links that use the target keywords as the anchor text.
  • It matters, but not that much. I think the search engines are however more wary of .info domains, as they are a lot cheaper to get, and a lot of garbage/spam sites use them to try to get better PR.
  • well with my personal experiments, I have easily outranked domains with different TLD's and it all depends on the quality of backlinks.
