I'm confused, what should I do with my articles?

Hi everybody,
I have written some articles based on good keywords, I spent a long time looking for good keywords and writing articles but I'm confused, should I submit them to article directories or to put them on my website? I need backlinks for my website so if I submit them to article directories I would get good backlinks and that's what I need, but if I put them on my website it won't have much effect on its ranking. Any advice ?

From what it sounds like, these articles don't have any purpose being on your website? In which case, it would be a waste of time uploading them.

What you've said makes no sense because it is essentially:

1) If I do this then I gain something.
2) If I do this then I gain nothing.

Which one should I pick?

Websites benefit from having great unique content, so make sure you're not overlooking that aspect. If you feel that you will benefit more from article submissions then by all means go that route.

Thank you for your reply TollFreeService. The reason I do not want to post my articles on both my website and article directories is to avoid duplicate content.

Post it in your own blog/website then have some in article directories.
