Hi. So i piggy back last night and I copy this youtube video. I edited the beginning and the ending and cut a little bit of time so it wouldn't be the same.

I pick a long tail keyword, when I put it in google seahc bar it came up with this:

About 1,700,000 results (0.18 seconds)

When I put the keyword with " quotation marks" it came up with this:
About 353 results (0.19 seconds)

So as you can see, the competition is very low.

The keyword in google keyword tool is the following:

Exact global searches for this long tail keyword: 170
and for local the same thing 170

Now i know this number might not be alot, but I am learning and trying this technique
using common sense to see if I can rank a youtube video based ona keyword with very low competition
even thought it only has 170 exact global and local seaches per montn.

When I type my keyword in google this morning my video is on page 5, now remember that I just uploaded this video last night.

I put my keyword in the title, my domain name is mykeyword.info
I pick info because this is an experiment and I didn't want to waste more money on a dot com if not necessary for this project.

I also put my domain name first on the description box, follow by a short sentence with my keyword again

Where it says tags I put my keyword again

Under enhancement, I pick bubble and i put please visit us at www.mykeyword.info
My settings are size 16 letters, white letters, blue background.

So my keyword is everywhere as you can see. I save all of my changes.
Done!

Ok now how do I get my video on page 1 for my keyword?

Should it be hard since my keyword only has 352 competing pages within quote?

I am not sure what I am doing and if I am doing something wrong or right?

I heard someone said just to add social bookmarks, so how would I do that?

Do i go to fiverr, give them my youtube video url, give them the keyword I want to rank for, and that's it?

Very confused.

Thank you for your help guys and ladies.

I don't know if that will work. I just want to rank my video on page one.

What do I need to do specifically?

    Hi -

I have been working hard at ranking videos on YouTube. I see your sense in saying that it shouldn't be that hard to rank for low competition...but there are a few things to keep in mind.

And you are trying to rank with just one video, correct?

It looks like you have optimized it pretty well if you have put all your keywords in those places. The only other places I would recommend is in your actual video script (you actually use the word IN the video) and in the video filename. Then you would want to transcribe your video and upload the transcription.

Next, YouTube does put a lot of weight on engagement. It is similar to Google in the whole social aspect. If your video gets comments, video responses, and lots of views than YouTube will rank it higher. That is why some people go and pay for subscribes and comments for their YouTube channel through resources like fiverr...although I think if YouTube were to catch on to that they may terminate your Channel....so it is a little risky.

Also, YouTube places even more weight if people are engaged throughout your whole video instead of watching it for just a few seconds and then clicking away. This is how they reward users for creating great content.

If you go out and engage with other YouTubers than YouTube will pick up on that as well. They like that.

Let's see...another way to is to keep pumping the videos out with different content but the same keyword. I have found that one video per day for 30 days, optimizing it well, being engaging, blasting out to all my social networks, etc. has ranked me on the first page of YouTube for quite a few different keywords.

And, of course, send out to all your social networks and/or social bookmarking sites, like Twitter, Reddit, StumbleUpon, etc. Sending them out one at a time does take time. You can also send through distribution sites. These aren't free, but there is oneload.com and onlywire.com.

    It is definitely a process...

    Hope that helps!

How do I put my keyword in the video? What I did was go to annotations, then i clikc on speech bubble, the i put visit us at mykeywod.info

      Is that what you meant?

I always get stuck on the technical parts

      Please advise.

Also I don't know how to do social bookmarks, or submit them, how do I do that.
      What is the process?

For example I get my youtube video url in the top, i copy it, then I would go fiverr and looks for what?

I submit my YT url and then what? Do I also submit the keyword I am trying to rank for? which in only one keyword, the one I am using as my YT title, and everywhere else?

      Please be specific.

      Thank you

Bookmarking the link of video helps in getting good rankings for that video.

I have ranked A LOT of Youtube videos. I always use fiverr to do it. I can usually rank my videos by using the following three services.

    1) I start with this social bookmarking gig here:

Crorkservice will add your site to 600+ social bookmarks + rss + ping for $5, only on fiverr.com

Then I add some views, and comments with this gig..

Djlobo will deliver 20000 real human youtube views and 200+ likes and 30 custom comments and 100+ subscribers and 50+ favorites to your videos for $5, only on fiverr.com

I will then follow up with this service:

Best_seo will create google friendly backlinks with senuke in 72 hours

I don't order them all at once. I usually order the first service let them fullfill the gig, wait 3 days order the second service, wait three days and then order the 3rd service. This ranks my videos 80% of the time for my keywords. If it doesn't rank your video look for more SEO fiverr gigs and order more.

I would try to get a bunch of others to just "Tweet" and "Digg" the video. I would also try to get others to insert the video into a Facebook post. If the topic is worthy, I would do a video press release. That's they way I would go about promoting a simple video... if it has mass appeal.

wow that sounds great. I will try and invest 15 dollars in 3 fiverr gigs and see the results with this.

If this works, then I will use the same method but for a different niche.

      Thanks

Google is weird with the way it ranks YouTube videos.

It may never show up on the first page of Google, but you will still get traffic from the YouTube search engine.

Some niches always seem to have keywords that rank with video, and others seem to never rank with video.

You basically need views, likes and few backlinks and social media signals to rank.

I was just checking back with this thread that I posted on a while back. Raywarrior1978 did you try out the fiverr gigs that I suggested? If so, did it rank your video?
