Does the link in the signature here at Warrior forums helps in improving SERP results?

  • It counts as a backlink, but you will need to do MUCH more than simply having a signature link to gain SEO traction.

    • Is it a do-follow or a no-follow?
and other than backlinking and optimizing the page what should we do?

    • Do you really think Google would list Yahoo or Bing first should someone search for "best search engine"?

I'm sure your 96 (as it stands right now) posts/backlinks have had no effect whatsoever.

Even though WF links are dofollow, forum backlinks in general are pretty weak.
  • Do follow forum back links helps for increasing,,,,,,,,,,,

  • In this do-follow forum links are little helpful to ranking because its also increasing your backlink count. But you can get visitors via forum
  • To a certain extent it does, if you really want to increase in SERP'S. Your best bet is to only post on marketing related sites. Web 2.0 definitely works as well. Diversify your linking structure as the penguin update is very sensitive to how links are being built over time.

hope this helps someone whose wondering
  • It is "do follow". Install a special browser plugin that shows up all "nofollow" links and then you'll be able to notice which links count, which not...
  • I used to get good traffic just from forums, and think they are more interested people most time.

    • A link in your signature can also help you get more traffic to your site and increase your popularity online. By adding useful posts, you can establish credibility and build trust. If your posts are valuable, other members will visit your website and link to your content, which will improve your rankings.

    • Thanks for pointing to the Google page. Didn't know about these guidelines. Doesn't seem there is any room for SEO these days.
  • Forum Signatures were their weight in gold till Penguin. These days they have some merit when matched with other links especially from Web 2.0 and social sites. One of my sites tanked after Penguin 3 update to 20% of its traffic and it has links from forum signatures as well as a mix of other links and this site had been going strong for 10 years and had solid content.
  • I can't say I've noticed any particular increase in SERPS from posting on the forum and I guess I've looked to some extent, however I have noticed that if I write either a thread or become involved in a post that my site receives visits from the forum the following day.

That number is increased exponentially, dependant on how knowledgable or helpful said thread or post was, plus of course the actual post popularity.

This forum can do so many things for us, if we use it correctly, you forum signature is just one of the tools, but to get anything from it, make every post count.

    • Agree with you 100%. I'm learning here everyday and it is good to contribute. Increasingly signatures will have less and less SEO benefit.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Only if you comment meaningfully and give some useful information which attracts other members then your signatures will surely get some best results.
  • From my experiences, yes it helps. But I just don't have signatures on 1-2 forums. But a plenty of them... nd I have posts on few high PR threads too, so it always get me some extra link juice.

And as others says, if you make a good quality post, people like your answers and visit the site in you signature which gets you good no. of visitors too.
  • yes signature link will help you very much in increasing SERP..

Just create a new blog and make 2/3 post in the blog. then add that blog in your warrior signature. You will see that within 10 minutes your blog will be indexed in the SE. and the warrior post that you have created will also be visible. That's why Warrior Rocks.
  • If you Grab back-link from niche Forum, sure this will help in seo / Traffic.

  • it is dofollow and counted as a backlink !
  • One of the sites listed in my Warrior Sig got hit by Penguin 3 and its traffic was shattered to smithereens Warrior Sig juice notwithstanding.

It doesn't help but you still add the irrelevant link in your sig., lol.

You would have better luck with an ice-cream cake anchor-text sig. on a Weight Watchers forum.

  • use variety keyword , backlink dofollow and nofollow etc
  • When people are reading your comments and blogs, they tend to click on the link you provide on your signature.

It will not only help your website to rank on search engines, but it will help you to increase your sales rate. That is why you need to make a short and brief signature to attract other users.
  • I doubt the value of a WF signature backlink other than the traffic it generates. Nearly all the sub-pages have 0 or N/A PR anyway.

Also bear in mind that an exact match keyword signature is against Google's ToS.
  • Hi,

Yes, obviously warrior forum signature links helps in SERP.

Your not ranking for your sig. anchor-text, so what do you think?
