Yeah, I am sure people will recommend themselves, but have members used services they would legitimately recommend?

Matt Laclear's page one service is pretty good. I used it last year when there was only google panda so idk how well it works now. But he ranked me on the first page for a keyword that gets 55k ems p/m.

Ohh my bad, well in that case don't do SEO. Just wait for people to naturally link to you.

You have an SEO blog and sadly you haven't the slightest clue what SEO is.

His comment was definitely worth gold when you keep in mind he meant offpage SEO so no reason to nitpick.

I would legitimately recommend my company. Give me a call or send me an email if you want to talk about what you need.

Why don't you hire individuals to do each task you need if you want to be "white hat". You'll get better quality work and cheaper if you part it out.

Find some good writers to start.

Budget....well considering I spend over $500 per month for adwords, if I could replace that traffic with organic, it would be worth at least those costs. I wouldn't shell that kind of money upfront though because there are too many wild claims out there and if you don't employ good techniques the rankings could come crashing down on the next update. I would also like to rank for Yahoo/Bing too, not just google.

There should be a review site for SEO service companies. Have people post the company they hired, the date, domain, and the keyword(s), and the site could track the progress so other users could see the results. Domain and keyword would be kept private, but showing the searches per month would help determine the competitiveness of the keyword.

      Sorry, got off track there.

What exactly is white hat SEO anymore? Is it white hat to post original articles on Web 2.0 sites?

Some will say it is while others say it isn't.

    What about press releases?

Problem is untiered web 2.0 links and pressers are pretty weak. So they need backlinks of their own to really make them pop.

I think it's time we all come to grips with the fact that the more Google changes their algorithm the tougher it's going to use white hat tactics.

SEO is actually still easy & I doubt that will change anytime soon.

The kicker is the average person isn't creative & doesn't do their own SEO testing. Right now I'm banking on links + freshness + relevancy, that's the core of my SEO. That combo. kicks azz in the SERPs.

Believe it or not the freshness factor is extremely powerful & you don't have to build new pages to take advantage of SEO freshness, a little creative planning & php will take care of that.

Yep...got burned with Penguin in April. I am also tired of doing manual link building myself. Figured there has to be some decent companies out there doing it.

I am using a individual who uses mostly white hat techniques along with some manual backlinks and I have been thrilled with his work so far.

I think the best think you can do is to search some of them to Google, with the specific keywords you used the top of the SERP will eventually signify that they are good in promoting their own site and a greater chance that they provide a good services too.

Oh dude, again you make such terrible comment, in my thread you would go for 100 web2.0 profile links above 10 links at high PR pages, and now you start to recommend SEnukex LOL

Go learn SEO before you start to offer it, really come on.

nik, c'mon man, give this guy a break. He clearly has $147/month to fork out on a useless software. So, good on him.

Yeah white hat is waiting till people link back to you cause they like the content so much, hard for Google to judge if it's legit or not though so linkbuilding is still full a live!

Recommendations for white hat SEO company - stop wearing a white hat

Most clients I know are not patient enough to do white hat tactics for 9 months to 1 year before seeing any significant results.

If the clients are interested in white hat, they are better of employing an intern to be a community ambassador etc.
