What is commentluv and why is it good for backlinks/seo?

I see it talked about quite a lot but I do not actually know why it is an advantage for SEO?

Some CommentLuv blogs tend to be DoFollow, plus they give you an opportunity to link back to one of your own posts. KeywordLuv is fairly similar & let's you create an "anchor text" backlink to your website. Most KWLuv enabled blogs are dofollow.

And many blogs use a combination of both KWLuv & CommentLuv.

Some comment luv enabled blog allows do follow anchor text link...so it is valuable, if the exact page PR id high...else anyways a link is link..move on..

  Adding it to your blog without first implementing some sort of anti-spam technique will probably bring in a flood of junk comments.

Comment luv technique is really good. It helps you promote your posts, as well with a dofollow anchor text.

Commentluv is basically a plug in that allow you to get do follow links 1 from you anchor text and 1 from the recent post you make on your blog.
Double advantage of posting comments on commentluv enable blogs.
