Ok so lately i have been seeing many threads saying SEO is dead and what not. The fact is that SEO is NOT dead at all. Over time googles algo changes and we have to adapt to the changes.

The only time i think that SEO will die is if google decides to make their page one rankings nothing but paid ads. Then there would really be no point to do SEO since nobody really goes past page 1 anyways.

I agree - SEO is alive and kicking and still one of my number one fav strategies for getting to page one - like everything worth having you have to put in the effort and be in the know!

Yes, SEO is not dead. The one who are saying SEO is dead are probably trying to sell you something (usually some courses in paid traffic or social marketing).

No, SEO is not dead... It’s just has become more legitimate. Search engines are focussing more on refining search results. Now, average optimization practices are not giving as good results as they used to.
I believe, this is webmasters keep on asking about death of SEO.

SEO is dead and I don't think it ever will. It just gets harder and harder and if you want to succeed in SEO, you have to be adjusting your strategies all the time to meet the latest trends and keeping your strategies up-to-date.

Adjust or die, as they say. That's particularly true in SEO.

Best of luck optimizing for the search engines!

      You're so right...

      News flash, huh?

In all of the years the WF has been around, this has been an ongoing discussion. SEO is always dead to someone...

Many people make promises as if internet income is free money, that somehow requires no skill or consideration...

Really, a lot of the the problems with the SEO promised land is hype.

Like any business (or skill), there is a process to SEO.

Some of the simplest things can go wrong and make people SEO isn't working. For example, picking useless keyword phrases just because they are in the google search tool...

In the end, after all of my rambling, I just want to say that SEO is alive and well.

SEO is only dead for people that do not understand SEO. SEO has many benefits if you scale it up to a good team that focus on more than the average person.

If you have to keep "adjusting" your SEO everytime Google rolls out an update, then you're probably doing it wrong.

SEO is dead and alive, it all depends on how you approach it.

If you go about it the 2003 way you won't last long and if you go about it the 2011 way you will be just fine and smiling to the bank.

    • SEO is DEAD IF you are doing it in an unethical manner. As long as you follow the rules you have nothing to FEAR from Google period! After all the changes Google has made none of my sites have been hit in any way because we do business in a ethical and professional manner.

I have got a question based on the question "Is SEO Dead?". My question is "Why it should be dead?". How anyone can think like this? If SEO is dead, why people are looking for good quality backlinks? SEO was important, SEO is important, SEO will remain important. There is no alternative of seo. Yes, there have been some noticeable changes taken place in SEO.

As long as there are search engines there will be SEO. The reasons why all these people are posting "SEO is dead" threads is because the SEO that is required as time goes on is changing from gimicks, cheap tricks and shortcuts to good quality business practices that aims to provide value to the user.

its certainly become a lot more un predictable thats for sure

you can still get plenty of traffic from google but it`s always wise to diversify your traffic methods

too many people have lost all of there income overnight by getting a google slap where all of there sites tanked

    be wise, and diversify :-)

SEO ain't dead, but that wise-cracking new method that breaks a TOS somewhere probably is.

Methods come and die, while new ones spring up. Want a classic SEO tactic that still works in 2012?

It's called link-bait. It's old school, takes forever to work, but when you finally get that damn ball rolling it's hard to stop.
