Assuming appropriate use of anchor text and relevancy, how much juice will blog commenting get me?

    Depends on many things. Mostly how much juice does the page have (backlinks coming in/PR) and how many outbound links are on the page. The key is to go after high PR pages with low outbound links.

      I also agree with you. Not all blog's comment will give you link juice. Good quality blogs with low outbound links can boost your link juice.

    It's hard to target any exact amount of Link Juice that a link from a specific blog because there are too many variables out there. If you're going to be making manual blog comments keep the following in mind:

    1) Is the website in a bad neighborhood? (lots of spammy links on it for prescription drugs, adults sites, etc) - Probably best to avoid posting as Penguin could pass some bad link juice your way.
    2) Does the site have any PR?
    3) Make sure the site has to do with your site that you are linking back to (don't post a link about plumbing services on a site about puppies)
    4) Does the post already have 100 or more posts on it? (It's been speculated that Google stops counting after about 100 links on a page so you'd just be wasting time) - Don't waste your time on this.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. What's the best way to find relevant blogs to comment on? I've used dropmylink.com before. I've also used Google Operators to assist me in finding good blogs and articles to comment on.

    Any other recommendations?

      The fact is, after a certain time, you'll reach at the end of the Most Relevant blogs. So, it's better to vary the Keyword, thus you'd be able to find some nearly Relevant blogs more.

    For link juice - the number of Outbound links and PR of the page matters most.
    However, blog commenting for link building is a shaddy way to get links and can cause more harm than good.
    Give quality comments and get referral traffic - instead

    DoFollow? NoFollow? PR of the page? # of other comments? Anchor text allowed? etc..

    Ton of variables.

    I disagree with marketing-guru that using commenting for link building is "shady." Mindlessly spamming thousands of blogs with junk comments? Yeah, obviously shady. But manually leaving legitimate comments on blogs in order to create backlinks? Not shady at all.

    I've had some good results using Blog Commenting Demon to find lots of sites in your niche. It takes care of a lot of the tedious manual work for you like scapring results, looking for footprints from blogs, showing you PR and if a blog is follow or no follow.

    Using this software on one of my personal sites I managed to get a sitewide link from leaving a comment on a .gov site that was incredibly relevant to my site.

    The key to using the software is to make sure you read the article and post a legitimate comment instead of trying to use it to just spam a bunch of "Interesting article I will share this with my friends" comments.

    Don't expect thousands of links overnight, but it's a cool tool to use on your laptop while you're watching TV with the Mrs.

      Never really looked at Blog Commenting Demon. At $67 it's more expensive, but does seem a little bit more user friendly than Scrapebox. (Although Scrapebox can do a LOT more.)

      Tempted to give it a try and see how it compares.

    I think you should focus more on getting links back to your site and not so much how many people will click on the links. If you have a considerable amount of backlinks, your site itself will rise in PR

    the the actual Page is of PR 2 and if the outbound link is just yours then you will get the 100% . and the PR juice will be distributed among all the links that's are going from that page.

    I ditched blog commenting and went for guest posting. Guest posting is the best way to get page juice... and build your brand while bringing traffic to your website.

    I only mass blog comment using tools to build my web2.0 blogs backlink portfolio..

      Guest posting is good, but IMO it's a bit easier to find quality sources to comment on. (And I don't need to write a lot of content.)

    It depends on you! really, because it depends on which website/blog you are commenting on. like whether the site has added nofollow tag for links in comments or it has follow tag. whether it has high google pagerank or with no pr. page having lots of comments or less with links and so on. hope it helps.     Commenting on High PR blogs will get you the better results.The blogs which itself has a good amount of Juice will help you in building yours but with low outbound links.

    I also suggest you to do blog commenting on relevant blogs and high page rank blogs means you should do comment on quality blogs to build back links otherwise there will be reverse effect of blog commenting.

      They won't "harm" your site. They will, however, severely reduce your comment approval rate.

    Commenting in High PR blogs will provide a good link juice they have a plugin installed to be safe from spam comments so all the links are automatically converted to nofollow most of the times.

    Don't use keywords in the name field. It looks spammy and the approval rate for your comments will be super low. Comment on blogs in your niche and just use your name as the keyword. Or your company name, or a combo of the two. You'll brand yourself...you'll get traffic to your website by people clicking on your link...and you'll get nofollow links which helps naturalize your backlink profile.
