    We should not exceed more than 70 characters.But the best practice is title tag should be short and unique so we should use 60-65 characters in title tag of a web page.

    Google has now changed how it counts the characters in the title tag.

    Previously it was 70 characters.

    Now, it depends on the width of your alphabets. For some alphabets, it be be only 60 characters. For others, it can even be 80 characters.

    E.g. "i" is fatter than "a"

    They say it should not be more than 70-80 characters. As much as possible, make your title tag as simple as it is but let it bring an aura that will make people take a look at your website.

    The title tag length should not be larger or shorter. It should be a good length and as i know it is 60. Google allow its as good tag.
