I got a huge boost, in traffic all organic, I have not checked the PR, because half of those PR rank checkers are bogus I just tweak my websites according to the level of traffic they get, if something I do results in an increase I do more of that thing.

If traffic levels off I try something different its all about being unique and different add to that value, limited advertising, targeted back links, and a host of other unique little ditties and you have a recipe for success.

I went from a PR3 to a PR2...sux.

I am trying to figure out if my "External Links" plugin killed my rank. Does anyone know this? I built the blog to a PR3 within 3 months, no keyword rank drops or anything, just PR dropped. I put the External Links plugin in thinking that limiting the number of outbound links out of my site would help, but is this bad?

I'm using that plugin on 2 new sites that I just launched. One in May and one last month. PR 2 for the first and PR1 for the second. No significant backlinking on either, just a few blog comments. Except for a paid directory listing - a reputable directory - on the first one that gave me a PR4 link.

So I don't think it's your plugin.

My backlinks is at about 2,000 but i think its more around 5,000, however, could be higher if i take into accout social sharing. I only started to show backlinks in the past 2-3 weeks in google which links it around 2,000, however, i can account for at least 3,000 none accounted links including reddit, juptags, warrior forum, web master forum along with many .edu and .gov links and Asian blog networks/Baidu/sina links. But i have had some success resently with finding high ranking chinese english language blog networks for posting. Plus also use Joomla forum regurly which is also high ranking.

Wow i am so glad you asked this question because it made me check my page rank. I launched my website 3 months ago and it seems the link building work has paid of at long last. In a space of 24 hours my website has gone from an Alexa page rank of 3,600,000 to around 1,400,000 and a google ranking of 0/10 to a google ranking of 5/10. I guess hard work really does pay off Sohel Parvez you have made me a very happy man.

Varied, one went from PR2 to PR1, another stayed the same PR2. The rest I haven't checked yet. All in all very uninspiring. Gettin sick of Google.

Mine was PR3 four years ago. Then it become 2 and then 1.

Again it become 2 and now in the recent update it is PR3. Hope to get it 4,5 and 6 in the upcoming updates, I am building high quality links now.

one of my sites went from pr5 to pr6 (tecboy.com.br), other from pr5 to pr4, one kept pr5, one when from pr 3 to pr4. But my best traffic site was not only a good pr, but few backlinks, a nice backlinking profile and 70% of the links nofollow.
