Estimated Google earning's per page view's

Hi i am just wondering i have currently had 1 click out of 754 page views with Google adsense. Is this good or is this bad? it makes it worse that I think the person who made the click was using google translater and proberbly did it by mistake. So i am just wondering what is the standered earning's to page views? personally i think Google adsense is not suited for my website. However, i have no idea what other advertising network to use.

    My adsense earnings generally tank on the weekends, but so far today I've had 5 clicks for less than a third of your page views.

    And this isn't in the right section of the forum so don't be surprised if it gets moved!

      That's not to shabby, is your website large? Niche, Authority, Hobby?

        It doesn't need to be an authority to get that many clicks. Think about how targeted the keyword is and the ad positioning. A simple text link can get a pretty high CTR if positioned well..

          I have more than one adsense site, but the one that generates the most income is a site that's about 5 years old. The niche is a hobby of mine. I hesitate to call it an authority site, but it's in the top 3 position for a handful of keywords and Google has assigned site links to it.

          This. My keywords/ads are laser targeted - I make good use of Google's section targeting code. And I get the most clicks from a horizontal text link ad just below the nav bar. i don't try to blend them in so they get clicked by mistake. It's very clear they are ad links but they are so on target people tend to click through.

    It's impossible to tell what your CTR should or could be, but your number seems very low.

      Well i think its low because i can not target the right adds according to users. However, all good web advertising sites i need +3000 page views per month or +100 page views per day. Currently my audience is under that, if write a new story i can get +100 per day. However, i dont really have the time to market, design and write every day. The thing is a need to find a way to monotize my website while i carry on building it. I dont think it can ever be achieved with Google adsense, but as i dont have an alternative i dont know what t o do.
