I also heard from wf that squidoo and hubpages are really good. Could anyone tell though, what's so good about them? Any advantages over the wordpess / blogger?

Hi byrontem, please update your old list bro as Multiply.com has shutdown their operations.."May 31, 2013 officially marked the closing of our operations. You may now find your trusted online merchants in their new homes, Sulit.com.ph, the Philippines' #1 buy and sell website, and Tokobagus.com, Indonesia's No. 1 shopping site."

My choice goes for Squidoo. Most other web 2.0 websites provide sub-domains and that are less powerful compared to get a post from the main domain. I use blogger and wordpress too often.

gauntlet challenge... smack across the facebook....

a list of web 2.0 with their homepage PR rank saying they are "good" is... ummm... for pre-newbies

a real critical analysis would be which sites allow easy remote posting methodologies, pass on link juice... have good connectivity to other web2/twitter/fb et al, and are not overly spammed... etc etc etc

but... you have to pay for that info

Good question, there is standalone, or self hosted you can download and install on your host and Wordpress.com also offers online hosted version, both are free. You setup an online wordpress account, then add related content and your anchor text, plus backlink that points to site you desire to rank for. Because Wordpress is an authority site, the backlink will have more weight in the eyes of the search engines.

However wordpress is PR9, but it gives a sub-domain and as you know, sub-domains are different from main domain, so the pagerank of a new made wordpress blog is 0 unless you make qualified backlinks for it to increase the PR of it.

Now you cannot create squidoo lens easily because the team of squidoo include a module which will ensure that your content is high quality or not. You can try blogspot, wordpress and etc.

These are tested, free, working and do-follow as of last week. So many have moved to no-follow and quite a lot don't exist anymore. So many of these huge lists that are kicking about are massively out of date.

A lot of sites in that list may no longer be working or accepting new users. However, it is still a very good and useful list. Thanks for the share. You seem to have picked it up from some other site.

I agree the list is really out of date and a lot of those sites have gone to the web 2.0 graveyard or are not excepting new registrations.

Tumblr seems to be one of the better sites at the moment for easily building links.

As with all web 2.0 properties post crap and your work is worthless - best to build quality "mini sites" that will age well over time and pass quality link juice back to your "money" site

Dont just look at it as a quick backlink! if you're serious you need to build quality that will stand the time.

      my 2 cents
