  • My experience. Never use Fiverr for SEO if you want long term results.

    • I agree. I'm sure there are good, white hat SEO people on Fiverr but most of what's available there are for black hat stuff.
  • there are people who do good work on fiverr. You just need to weed the junk from the few that is quality. I have had sites rank on the first page from just a couple fiverr gigs

    • hi, can you share with me the gig that gave you good results? I prefer to avoid services that blast many links and only go for quality, not quantity.
    • You are right brother not all fiverr GIG SEO creating a bad results.

  • Why not try hiring a senior SEO specialist on various outsourcing sites such as onlinejobs.ph and directory.outsourcingautopilot.com? It might be better for you to have someone who you can trust to work for your websites so you can control SEO strategies.
  • Don't use Fiverr for backlinks pointing directly to your site. Although you may have some luck if the links are part of a pyramid (i.e. there are buffer pages in between your site and the Fiverr backlinks).

  • I had some success using fiverr... I just do the hard part.. Indexing the backlinks because normally it takes for ever for google to find them so I give them a push!
  • Fiverr has a wide range of uses, I find it a great resource to get videos made quickly and cheaply.

You can also pick up some pretty cheap link blasts to get yourself some quick juice for lower tiers of links.

Loads of quirky gigs as well which have there uses. Much more going on than just link building on fiverr.
  • Expect to get 5 dollars worth of SEO when you buy from fiverr. Although there ARE a few golden nuggets there. You just have to search real hard
  • As my experience fiverr people will spam our website because they use SEO Tools
  • if you spend an hour to read review and try people out, you will get the golden nugget.

    • wouldn't use it for links straight to your site...

I've been using it mostly for video submissions, social account/profile creations, and also getting crappy blog comments and set them to point to my videos or profiles.

I wouldn't advise using Fiverr to directly backlink to your money site.
  • Seriously people stop being CHEAP , do you think someone will rank your money sites for 4$? Wake up and use your brain !
  • It all matters about what kind of gigs you are buying, I completely agree that thousands of crap links is not worth anything.

However, other gigs like social bookmarking especially Digs, Stumbles and Pinterest can be true gems.

Furthermore, Yahoo answer level 2 accounts can also be very useful. ;-)

    • I agree to that avoid those gigs that promise to give you 2k links AND links that they say came from PR 8-9. Social bookmarking and Yahoo answer level 2 accounts are great.
    • Thanks for the advice dood, I found a couple of gigs that was recommended on Fiverr that does social bookmarking.

Fiverr is great if you want SEO services. However, many gigs out there are complete bullshit (around 80%). But every once in a while you find a good gig, something like a PR 6 blogroll link, or 3000 unique Wiki links. These ones are gems.
  • there is a 95% chance you will pay for nothing....
  • NO AT ALL!
    Have really bad experience there.
They're built lot rubbish links and unfortunately, not soon Google launched a penguin.
  • I have just purchased this gig on Fiverr.com - "....will do social bookmarking submission manually to 200+ sites including top 50 sites + rss + ping + Google panda and penguin safe for $5.."

I had them blast a tier 2 site of mine so I will hopefully let you know when and if i get some results.
  • SEO from Fiverr is not usually very good at all.
  • Usually the gigs from fiverr may not be good. In a marketplace, you have so many choice to choose from. You are choosing the junk product. You must know what do you actually want and go for it. If you want good ranking in google, go for a gig which will help your to get good ranking for longer terms. Do not choose a big number of backlinks package and become penalized by Google.
  • Agreed, just find a way to maintain a constant amount of backlinks daily and get good relevant backlinks.
  • Some Fiverr gigs are decent. I don't know how anyone can claim 100% or 95% are bad. Here are some I've used:

    private proxies
    facebook likes
    youtube views/likes
SEO optimization reports (before I got the software myself)
    hotmail accounts
    yahoo answers level 2 accounts
    website logo
    video testimonials
    youtube intros
    blog comment posting
    forum posting
    photo retouching
    etc...
  • Fiverr has not been getting good review or so I've seen people talking about it around. Personally, I've been around and tried Fiverr myself. Most cheap SEO services provide quantity which has no impact at all.

  • it seems good to give a try to fiver after so much people talking about this. I will share my experience after checking it's effects.

    • I have used a few fiverr gigs, some for backlinking and some for fb and g+ likes/shares. For the FB likes I got my fanpage liked by 1000+ users (which was visible on my fanpage) but what was unusual was, I got only 60+ emails for all those likes, which was really surprising. When I questioned this to the seller, he/she simply cancelled the order and made an immediate refund. When using fiverr gigs, pay attention to what you ought to get for $5 (or $4) and ofcourse the reviews.
  • Never take help of Fiverr for seo outsourcing because its not an effective way to get quality results and also its harmful for your website. So, please avoid Fiverr to get better results.
  • There are no SEOs on Fiverr, so I do not know how you would outsource your SEO there.
  • Not everything is evil/nasty/bad/blackhat on fiverr. You just have to ask questions and look as it as part of building an overall strategy. No you can't outsource all your SEO for $5 but you can outsource large chunks of the boring stuff for several $5.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • For little task, I have used Fiverr. First know your seller. Choose the best one for best result
  • All these people who say stay away from fiverr are they type who try something once and build an opinion about it. if you do your due diligence you will find many gold nuggets in there with all the turds.

  • Fiverr may be gives you short time ranking , But for long term
  • You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Well, I'll be the first and let you know that there is one link wheel person on there that I like. I only use the service once per page though. Not over and over. Username is volarex.

    Good luck
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I should have done this before I had ordered a gig. It seemed legit, had tonnes of great reviews, and was highly ranked. After I got it, I realised that it wasn't targeted traffic, coming mostly from Russia. After I said something to them about it, their response was "but it'll raise your Alexa ranking"! Like I care about that, I'm more focused on my bounce rate being so high!

    Lesson learned I guess...

  • If you are running a business with a long term goal, you should not hire cheap fiverr gigs. Never compromise quality over quantity.

If you put all the good SEO fiverr gigs in a bucket, multiplied that number of gigs times 1,317, you would have an empty bucket.

Ask yourself, do you need an empty bucket?

  • Fiverr has worked very well for me so far. Most of the SEO gigs on Fiverr are automated spam and junk, stay away from them.

But there is some hidden gold on Fiverr. Buy gigs which involve some form of manual work.
  • I highly recommend user FiverrFanatic, she got a lot of positive reviews for her services, and she do everything manually which is great. A combination of her SEO gigs will help you with the rankings especially if you have target keywords you would like to rank for.

  • Avoid "4775437 backlinks in a 24 hours" gigs.
And more importantly, common sense should guideline you, like everything in life.
  • LOL,wondering why companies are not outsourcing their work to fiver I would never use fiver for seo, random stuff, coding, simple design for mfa sites
  • Guys, if you use your head then fiverr SEO can work for you. Let me tell you how. Build some great quality back-links to your site yourself, link wheel, social profiles (YT, FB, G+, Twitter etc), micros blogging links (Tumblr, Weebly etc) linking to your site directly THEN hire fiverr persons to build backlinks to ABOVE backlinks but NOT to your site. It will definitely work.

    Cheers,

    Jawad
  • From testing around 40 different sites, I've tried over 20 different types of Gigs for SEO on fiverr, and only like 1 got semi-ok results.

That one had an increase in traffic that exceeded statistical significance, but only had it in 2 out of 4 sites.

So my advice, don't waste your money. Better learn how to do it yourself, and then hire and train someone from craigslist to come in your office and do the work there.

At least you'll be putting your countrymen or countrywomen back to work ;-)

If you need any good training SEO courses for teaching your outsourcers, let me know. I have a couple free ones.
  • Hmmm..... a cup of Starbucks or hire a guy on Fiverr for SEO? 5 bucks..... What do you really think you will get for 5 bucks in the way of SEO. Let me tell you what you'd get....a penalty.

If you were around back in 2009, 2010, 2011 it was this easy....it isn't any more.

Stop looking for the cheap type of links and you will get much further. Don't threaten your website with having poor links point to it for 5 bucks.
  • Fiverr has both good and risky seo services. Just need to do your due diligence. Anything automated would pose a risk especially 3000 wiki links, 20,000 blog comments. If you have to use them, use them as tier 3 and 4. Additionally, some manual services would also not be good either. As they say, cheap is expensive. Some time consuming services don't sound reasonable for $5 only.
