Are directories good resources again?

I have recently found a SEO company that is working just building directory links.

Not the usual way you can submit thousand of directories to with SENUKE or whatever, but reputated SEO directories with manual submissions and anchor text edition and deep links allowed.

Google wants "natural" links, so a human approval gives this links high value. Regarding that many of this directories allow just an anchor of "3w. mysite .com", one of the anchor text recommendations after penguin.

So, have this links more value now? Would it be a good strategy to get back to this manual submission links?

As a SEO agency, would it be good to build an own directory sites network? As some are doing now with a blog network with different class C ip, can it complement a link building strategy? What do you think?
#directories #good #resources

    • Manual / automated ...it doesn't matter. It's same crap links that Google does not want to be counting.
    • Using directories alone as your backlink strategy is not wise
    • There are VERY few directories that maintain an editorial policy, and actually have people using them. I have sites in Yahoo, DMOZ and BOTW ...those are directories to get into and even those barely send more than a handful of visitors per week.

I disagree. Manually approved directories can help you in SEO, because they are not stuffed with spammy sites and some of those directories have a real authority status (especially the paid ones) and therefore if you are willing to pay the submission fee you can improve your rankings that way.

Yes in my point of view if you are doing directory at low quality sites then it wont work for you but if you do directory submission at high rank site and good quality sites with relevancy then it will be good to do directory submission...

Directories have already lost their value when it comes to passing link juice. It's just an easy way to spam.

The highest quality, manual is best. Use many sources of SEO, some directories, plus some very hard links with high value that Google values highly, and original articles etc. Top results take a lot of work

Not all directories are worthy source. Links from directories which are relevant to your site's niche will be useful.

Yes, directories are useful. The results are slow though. Try to get links from niche directories which are do follow and high pr.

And yes, manually approved directories are much better than the automated ones.

Directory submission is a good source to get back links if it is done on High PR sites.Doing automated submission is treated as spam so manual submission is good for SEO.

It is okay as long as you are going to manually submit your links. If you submit to 5 directories per day, then it's all good. But in terms of quality (traffic, conversions and sales), I am really not counting on it that much.

    • If you manually submit your website to high PR directories that use human editors, this strategy can help you build a few quality links and gain exposure. Focus on niche directories, business directories, and local directories rather than general directories.
