Hi,
Maybe someone can help me to find a solution. My site was penalized because of bad links to my site. I contacted each site owner and asked for link removal, provided proof to Google but this not helped for reconsideration.
Can I move my entire site to different domain and get back to index with new domain? If yes, what about duplicate content?
Thank you

You will most likely have to redirect old pages to corresponding new ones, since you wouldn't just want to shut down your old website and lose all the visitors who know about it already, right?

So, first, when you do those redirects, the penalty will not "move" together with your site. Second, the redirects will solve the duplicate content issue.

People have tested this. If it is a link based penalty, the penalty will flow through the redirect because now all those links are pointing at the new site. It might not happen immediately, but after a few weeks it will.

To the OP, yes you will have an issue if you just move everything with identical content. The new site will look like it is just scraping content making it more challenging to rank. The best way to do it is to get the old site out of the index first.

Yeah of-course, you can move your entire sites to new domain where penalty wasn't came and also you haven't loose your visitors. By doing the redirection, you haven't face the duplicate content problems.
