linking to a page that is not currently acessible via the site's architecture. Is it bad for SEO?
- SEO |
It is a very seasonal business and the winter/summer searches are wildly different. Therefore planning in advance we have created a bunch of winter advice articles that are keyword targeted and refer users onto our products as well.
They are currently set as "hidden" on our website (as it it would look out of place putting them in our blog section so early in the season). This basically means the url is live so if you directly type it into the browser it's acessible, but it cannot be navigated to through the site.
I want to start doing some backlinking work on these pages now so it's not too late by the time they're "launched". But if I'm linking to a page that cannot be found via the site's natural architecture is it a bad thing in terms of ranking the pages?
Thanks!
