Changing a page url and SEO

Hi,

Im sorry if this has already asked but I was just wondering how you go about changind a page url when taking into account SEO.

Im have a wordpress site and want to change the name of a page and also have this reflected in the url. If I just change everything on wordpress is there anything else I need to do for seo purposes i.e tell google its changing names and url?

    You don't have to worry about changing the page url because it's very easy which you able to done with the webmaster tool. You don't need to tell Google about changing your url because Google automatically crawls your changing url and store it on their database.

      Yep, just use the webmaster tool and it will be fine.

    If google has indexed your previous page url, it will start getting 404 error message because the web page doesn't exist anymore. It is better you use redirect 301, to redirect from the old page to the new page.
