Bing Webmaster Tool~Site Verification~Help Needed

Hi all,

I recently added 4 of our Websites in Bing Webmaster Tool. I had to verify the ownership for all the 4 Websites. Like GWT, I was given with an XML file for each Websites that I need to place in the root directory of my domain.

My concern is that the XML files available in the Bing webmaster tool for verification are the same for all the 4 Websites. Is that common?

A SINGLE VERIFICATION code for an account? No matter how many websites are added in that account?

There are four separate "verify now" links and when I click on them there is an option to check ownership through adding html codes to the default page or by uploading the XML file. But they are all same for all the 4 Sites.

abc.com/BingSiteAuth.xml
xyz.abc.com/BingSiteAuth.xml
kdl.com/BingSiteAuth.xml
fzx.mkl.com/BingSiteAuth.xml

    I have tried verifying only one website to Bring Webmaster tool, so I was not really aware of this common verification in Bing. But, if this is what the tool has provided you, then probably you can verify different sites you own using the same xml file. Anyway, what the verification really is up to is for you to prove that you have the administrative/owner access to each of the domains you add on the webmaster tool by uploading the xml file they provide to the web spaces where the domains are pointing to.
