Hello Warriors,
Im new to SEO..I have a simple doubt...
If i make more backlinks than this website howtoebooks.info then will i achieve a higher ranking than this website in Google ? If yes,how long will it take for the results to appear ?

    Backlinking is only part of the SEO equation. You also need to worry about your on page SEO of your site, the quality of your content, the keywords you're attempting to rank for among other things.

    Not only that but all backlinks are not created equal. If a major website was to link to your website vs a crappy brand new site do you think those links will be worth the same "juice"? Of course not. So you can't simply look at the number of backlinks and assume that will help you outrank another site.

    I agree. It also depends on what keywords you are trying to rank for too. They may rank higher for some keywords than you.

    I agree with Wade32. You need to focus on the keywords, landing page quality etc and then create the backlinks. That will give you much benefit. Only backlink creation without strategy is not effective.

      First focus on your site SEO, unique content with enough of keywords. Also make pretty url, that match the sites. Then go for backlinks. Best backlinks is from content similar pages (specially after panda & penguin attack). You have to try different ways and see what is working for you. There's no only one "true" way to get higher position in Search engines.
