Do Video Responses Help or Hurt Video Ranking

If you do a video response for a high traffic video and it gets approved that would mean the difference between 100 views and a thousand +. All the responses that get approved will only help your videos..

I set my channels to auto approve video responses. I feel they are beneficial. It's true, you are adding a link on your video view page to their video view page, but they are doing the same in return, giving you two more internal Youtube links.

This is exactly right. Video responses are nothing but beneficial.

I love video response and personally browse them quiet a bit. Its the difference between reading the hundred spammy response below or getting caught in the game of endless youtube video web! (You know what I am talking about... Where you go from video to video to video, crossing multiple genres , and not being able to have the self-control to simply stop!)

Absolutely go for it

They will help your videos in the long run. Make sure to weed out negative responses as it might destroy your videos even though you will be getting lots of traffic.

Nowadays people tend to have a glimpse at the comment part before proceeding to watch a video or not; so negative feedback will be just pushing them to move on and not waste their time.

Some negative comments can actually be a big advantage if they are controversial. If it goes against what the majority of people are saying, then it can encourage more people to leave their comment refuting the negative comment.

Yes you can make your videos video responses to other videos, it's a good way to get additional traffic.

Make sure to respond to videos with views but only the ones that do not have many responses yet - So that your video will stick there for some time and doesn't get replaced too fast.
