Varying Anchor Text Onsite is BAD for SEO?

We all know that you must vary the anchor text in OFFSITE BACKLINKS, but
what about INTERNAL LINKS?

Hey Guys,

After Panda, my genius decided to vary the anchor text on my site for one of
my major keywords. What happened next? I lost my ranking for that keyword.

I know that varying anchor text offsite is a MUST for backlinks, but what about
onsite SEO?

From my little "test," it seems like onsite optimization --- using the same
keyword as the anchor text over and over again is okay.

Anyone else have any experience here?

Yes, it seems that you have made a mistake.

You appear to have changed the keywords on your site, is that right?
On site linking is a big part of ranking, so if you changed your internal links anchor text your in trouble. Try to change them back to the way they were before.

I'm not worried about my site. Lol It's garbage. I'm worried about future sites.

I haven't seen this discussed anywhere else.
