Seeing Results = Waking up at 5 AM And For Me to Work Even More!

Wow, this weekend has been fantastic. I've sold several products over $1,000 + worth all together from Amazon on the weekend, while only averaging about 30 unique visitors a day. It's only going up with the keywords that I'm going for..

I've only devoted about maybe 2-3 hours a day by going for low-competition keywords that are extremely targetable. And this is with one SOLID site. I've ventured off now onto a new site. I figured, I'm 25, no wife/kids (gf lives far away from keeping me occupied, SCORE!), done with school, no 9-5, home all day, I might as well take ADVANTAGE of that before I no longer have the time.

In addition to that, I've made my FIRST commission with PPC! The time I'm putting in internet marketing is finally paying off!

Yes, the results may not be as great to others, but for me its a stepping stone. It gives me that extra drive/push to work even harder. I swear this is addicting when I see numbers/$$ go up. Today I sacrificed some of my sleep to get up by 5 AM to get s*** done.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my progress that's all. I also want to add that I purchased so many WSO's in the past, that it's been a waste of my damn time and $$. There's so much you can learn on the forum for FREE. Nevertheless, if you build a relationship with one of the members (getting to know them, read about their topics/threads/techniques), and if they have an WSO; then that's the one that's worth purchasing! Because of the "trust"/relationship factor you've had with them that you know the WSO will be worth it.

People I recommend in this forum: Yukon, Wolfmmiii, Paulgl, Mike Anthony, Nest 28, JSProjects, UMS, Mike Friedman.

Peace!

  • Well done man, that sounds great. For some reason I really connected with your post because I'm at a kind of similar stage (though quite a bet less successful than you've been so far): I've been bitten by the bug and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. I actually saw your post immediately after signing up for amazon associates (I've only done adsense and CPA so far).

Anyway, hit me up with a PM if you feel like having someone at a roughly similar stage to bounce ideas off. I love IM so far, but it does get to be kind of a drag not being able to talk to people IRL about it because it's impenetrable and boring to people who aren't in the know.

With your amazon niche site, did you target a niche with a view to shifting big ticket amazon items, or did you get the traffic first and then realize amazon was a good way to monetize it?

    • I don't focus on google keyword tool at all. I go for the exact model number. For example "Samsung X3602L" (not real). I also add review after the product name so I'm gaining multiple ranks.

So it would be "Samsung X3602L Review"

The trick is to go for low-competition products. I only aim for products that are over $100.

If I find a large market with tons of products, then that's what I go for.
I focus mainly on content. The only off-page SEO I do is social bookmarking which is enough for my pages to hit rank 1 on Google.

A lot of it I learned from wolfmmiii.

    Congratulations!

Couple of questions that could be useful for others as well and I'm just curious myself as well:

How many pages did you have to create to reach 30 unique visitors a day?
    Did you do any linkbuilding?
how many content did you put per page?
I understand you create 1 page per product correct?

$600/month is not bad at all I think. 4% from $1000 revenue = $40/weekend = $20/day right, you should also throw in a bunch of cheap products to get your 6% or 8% fast. Then it really gets interesting.

Now invest all the money you make into content writers and scale it up HUGE, that is the strength of internet, there is no end and you can spend as less time as you chose to to get rich!
    • [1] reply

    • 1) I'm at 52 posts. Each with 300-400 words max. 30 unique visitors started occurring at 35 posts. But now I noticed the traffic is going up steadily with the other keywords ranking.

      2) No linkbuilding but the use of onlywire (social bookmarking) and pingler.

      3) Content - 300-400 words. 3 links to the Amazon page. One-two pictures. Each product review that I write about typically takes about 10-15 minutes max. I type really fast..
If I'm focus on a site I post 2 a day. With the other sites I post 1 a day.

      4) 1 page per product yup. Each page is a new product on that niche.

      I'm definitely scaling up !

Smart choice on keeping the number of links to Amazon at a max of 3. I noticed that when you put more links the pages will rank poor. Not a bad investment either, if you outsourced all of it you would be done for a couple hundred dollars, DANG that is like 100%+ profit in the 1st month.
  • This is actually a pretty helpful thread, some good info here, thanks. I like the thought of doing minimal off-site seo work
    • [1] reply
    • Too true. If you read all the stuff here in this thread, there is a GREAT amount of key tips that are useful and better than some of the products being sold out there. I am new to the WarriorForum and I can't believe I could learned so much more so much faster had I found it sooner.
      • [1] reply
  • I used to jump around because one thing wasn't working. I've learned this is a bad bad bad bad thing to do. I witnessed it too with other colleagues that did internet marketing. They jumped constantly because they weren't getting any results. And so they would make a new site and implement a new strategy, and they wouldn't see results once again. Then they kept repeating to the point of no return.

I only jump to something where I clearly know that my site is garbage. How would I know? Just by looking at it and getting opinions from others. I think over time I figured out what's a crappy site (not just the design of it), but overall. And even till this day I'm doing what I can to make my sites even better.

I've been sticking with this particular game plan and it's been working for me. It's created an authority based site as well with all the content. I also make a FB + Twitter page for my sites.

But seriously, there's people where they have a bad game plan/structure where they jump all over to a point where they can't even focus on making one site better. They leave it there making it extremely crappy.

If you focus your energy one step at a time and you're patient, then good things will happen. As long as you truly believe in what you do, done your research, and as mentioned; have a strong game plan you'll do well. In my opinion at least.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • One advice. Everyone targets high priced items which is fine but if you Target lower price items, they fly off the shelves and makes your commission percentage jump higher faster.

    Congrats on your success.
    • [ 3 ] Thanks
  • Also, what kind of numbers are you looking for in exact searches? 1k or so?
    • [1] reply
    • I don't look at the numbers. I don't focus on google keyword tool. I look at what I believe is an upcoming trend of that niche/product and I go for it. As wolfmmiii said, some of these products will be duds; as in no one will buy them or look for them. But at the end of the day you're adding more content, building up your site.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Sounds like you are doing amazing. I wish I was on that level. I just started my first service, and I can tell you, I know how you feel with the constant grind when it comes to work.
    • [1] reply
    • Took me a year and a half to figure it out. I took tons of notes, listened to what these guys suggested and now I'm taking the bull by its horns.
  • I should be mad at you, I was in the middle of watching Love and hip hop when I decided to check the wf for any interesting threads, now I don't even care about watching the rest of that crappy show, because this is so much better.

I'm really happy to hear your doing well with your IM career, Wolf's method is a good one, I'll try it when I'm done experimenting with my new site. I was going to make a few niche review sites, but now I'm thinking of going back to my old way of doing things and having a authority site with brand-able domain.

I been able to find plenty of keywords, all are more than 7,000 searches a month, and top ten results are pr 0s ,1s, with little to no backlinks.

The thing is I might as well build a authority site and rank pages instead of building a site for each one. Plus I like to build good sites so each one takes me 4 or 5 days just to get everything way I like it.

The thing with wolf's method is you have no way of knowing how much traffic you'll receive because these keywords don't show up in any keyword tool as having a monthly search volume if you look up "samsung model abc" Google keyword tool will give you this - meaning nobody searches for that keyword, but in reality that specific model may actually get searched a lot.

    • I'm up at 4:30am....I sometimes have a hard time waiting to
get started. I am able to have more time in the afternoon and
evening to just goof off. I work smarter, as well as harder.
You gotta start this stuff by 6am. Yes, I know there
are those who have an autopilot going. I always strive to
be better than the previous day. I have yet to find a way
      to do that on autopilot.

      Paul
      • [ 5 ] Thanks
    • Yo Nest28! There is absolutely no way to know how much traffic you'll receive but over time I realized that I'm having a lot more fun adding content. (I write my content, so I could only imagine how much of a pain it would be if you're investing that much for writes and nothing comes back in return).

It takes about literally 10-15 minutes for me to write a review. I just keep writing and there will be those gems that pop and shine!

Update: There's this $100 tablet that people are purchasing left and right at this moment. I would have never thought I could have made sales because of the brand and what not. But I think that's the key. To not judge on any product and just keep building.
  • Great Job Paul! Really sounds like you're starting to get your feet off the ground with it. Keep going. And only 30 unique visitors per day? You must really have a high converter on your hands.
    • [1] reply
    • Haha yeah. I hit a sky high at 43 last night. These keywords are super targeted. I'm probably going to try JSprojects as well with "best price" at the end.

  • Nicely done broseph.

My advice - don't let those long (or early) work hours mess with your health/fitness. Take up sports if you haven't already done so. I find that success at IM fuels success at sports/other things in life, which in turn makes me work harder at IM... you get the point.

Oh yeah sports/fitness, otherwise you can't focus and be succesfull right, and perhaps even burn out? You know what also works well for that? Nag a bit on forums now and then and yell at your employees, great way to get rid of frustrations
    • Oh TRUST ME. My HEALTH is super duper important. I HAVE to workout lol. Sometimes I probably spend more time at the gym than doing internet marketing. And I think that's what hit me the other day. I've been dedicating my time in working out. I told myself man, this dedication and a little bit of pain/struggle (like lifting), will get me the results I want/need in online marketing.
      • [ 5 ] Thanks
  • Hey Paul I also bough this ebook by wolf and setting up my first site. Since im from europe I have a LOT less competition. One question though. How do you do your onpage SEO? I mean for a review how many words and density. I guess the pics you are also keyword targetting? If so, how many pics + keywords?

    best wishes!
    • [1] reply
    • The word "review"? I put it on the Title and that's it. I don't even have an h1 tag. Keyword density? I don't focus on that. What I focus on is making sure that the content is good, that's it really.

If you have no competition, you can easily dominate the first page.

Hell, I've seen people rank even if the content doesn't make any sense lol! But no, I don't focus on keyword density %.
  • Thanks for sharing your story with us! I love hearing these sort of success stores, because it helps keep me motivated.
  • I don't know how to upload pics right but check that out.

This happened the past weekend. And yes there will be days where there are no sales. I'm not going to hype things up. BUT when I see something like this, it automatically tells me that SOMETHING is working so what do I do? SCALE UP. (I also think some of those clicks were counted from myself because I wanted to test out if the link worked lol).

I figured I wanted to start a thread for once where people can gain some insight from someone that started from the very start. If you see my past threads, it's asking tons and tons of questions. Hell, I bet paulgl, wolfmmiii and yukon were probably already pulling their hair just from all my questions but I want to succeed. And they helped me out. Like I said, for anyone that's new don't be intimidated to even send these people private messages. I was scared of paulgl with his responses on the forums but I was like man, this guy probably knows his s*** so I'm going to private message him. When he would respond he'd go into full detail; the same goes with the other people that I mentioned on my first post of this thread.

    • That is a REALLY good conversion rate. Definitely start scaling. I'm generally happy with 5/100. So you've got me beat there.
      • [1] reply
  • I also want to add that this exact strategy that I do comes from Wolfmmiii. I want to emphasize on that just because I really have to give credit where credit is due, his strategy got to where I'm at, and it's only getting better.
    • [ 4 ] Thanks
    • [2] replies
    • What I like about his (and yours) strategy is that it is win-win situation. At least in theory, because I'm only researching the whole Amazon affiliate thing.

As far as I understand, you are making good and useful sites for buyers, with "human" domain names. You are not spamming 5 billions backlinks across the universe. You are not duplicating content. You are trying to be in the place where people just starting to go.

I think that this strategy is "positive" from many modern marketing points. So - wish you luck and will be reading this thread with pleasure.
      • [1] reply
    • Thanks a bunch man! I'm glad you are finding success with it.
  • Hi Paul! You are clearly hitting it out of the park! I'm glad you are doing well with my strategy! Hopefully others will see the light and follow suit. It's really an easy strategy to implement and it obviously produces.

    Good job!
  • Man, you got my internet ADD stirring up again. I already had my day planned out, but I'm going to have to reserve some time to research into this, haha.

The thing is, my article writing team is geared for adsense, and probably doesn't have the persuasive skills to write for amazon. That's actually why I haven't dove head first into this yet. I haven't found a good person to outsource the copywrite and I'm not writing content ever again myself
  • For high-priced items, which is good, but if your target price project, they flew off the shelves, so that your commission rate to jump higher and faster.
  • Awesome man, congratulations and keep the positive energy up.

Good for you that you have the time and if IM is what you want to do for a living, then go for it for sure!

    Best of luck.
  • Congrats man it's all downhill from here

Glad to see you're getting some Amazon success
  • Good information man. I wish you all success. You wisely planned and making a good money. I really appreciate your effort. From this thread I found a new way to marketing. I used to think that but never planned to start them off now. I will do it from today.

wolfmmiii, GGpaul, I have also planned to use Amazon Affiliate seriously, I have account around 3 years old and I just made $18 but from now, I want to work for Amazon Affiliate.

I have registered a domain name "UseMyReviews.com", please guide me about how many products I should use per page, and how the page format would look, if you can mention any example it would be good for me.

    Thanks in Advance!
    • [4] replies
    • Find a niche whether it's electronics, wheels/tires, automotive, baby products. With usemyreviews you'll be all over the place reviewing all sorts of products. I haven't tried that yet, as I stick to a particular niche.

I post non stop. I post about 1-2 posts a day on each site. I'm now at 54 posts, and 14 on my newer one.

I have maybe about 4-5 paragraphs. After the first paragraph I'll have a "click here to learn more" on its own paragraph (click here is the link to my amazon affiliate). And I'll have "click here to purchase this product" at the very end (last paragraph of its own).

I'll have one or two images wrapped around the content. Left side.

    • My sites (and this is what my blueprint guide taught Paul) are all "authority-type" sites. They consist of 50-100 products per site and I post 1 review per product per site. Each product gets it own review.

I target only low competition products that meet certain criteria.

      Tom
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [1] reply
    • So if your strategy is to have an authority niche type review site and you don't do any backlinking, how do you build you rank in the SERP for specific products.

For example, let's say I have a niche where people are heavily seeking information about certain models within the niche...

Let's say we have three products (let's use crayons for example):

      Crayola Blue Lavender Crayon
      Horizons Green Olive Crayon
      Warrior Super Red Crayon

Obviously these are highly targeted, model/product/company keyword phrases. How do you rank for your individual posts according to these specifications. I mean if you do a review for "Warrior Super Red Crayon", chances are that's the only time you are going to have a page/post on your site dedicated to that because you are only reviewing it once. How does this get you a higher ranking in the search engine for whatever SPECIFIC product review you are doing?

Glad to see that you're fairly new and off to a good start, I'm looking to do the same and I particularly like to watch successful noobs because it's motivational and shows that you got started off on the right foo!
    • Congrats! I know the feeling. Once you taste success, there's no looking back. It's a strange addiction that keeps you going through the ups and downs.

    • Im on the way building my first authority page with low competition products. But I'm also targeting low competition keywords for those products in general. i.E "Smartphones with a keyword review" or something like that. Id like to make pages about it and additiional write reviews about those products.
      Im not using an EMD.

Another question: Has anyone tried the ProReview Theme? Im thinking about buying it because it looks awesome to me and easy to handle.

But Id like to try wolfs plugin also!

  • Hey Paul,

Great success story man! I too am moving away from the microniche sites and into a more authority space - at first I was going to move away from Amazon completely but I now see that it still can be viable without doing all the spammy backlinking practices I was into a year or so ago.

One Idea I had was to use a "catchall" domain like the previous posters UseMyReviews.com and build out subdomains for the various niches... any thoughts on this?

    -Rob
    • [1] reply
    • I try to stick to a certain niche. If I'm doing something like electronics I'll make my domain hxxp:protronix.com or something along those lines.

Then I'll make another site for another niche but I really do go for a brand name.

It just makes things more organized for me too.
  • Congrats, very motivating post. I'm also starting to see some success now that I've gone down the low competition route. Getting the same unique visitors as you, but only made 4 sales so far, but hey, at least we know that this model works.

Sounds as if you purchased Wolfmmii's blueprint, like I did. Definitely going to follow it to a tee on my next site, as I started my current one before I bought the guide. Hope to replicate your success.
    • [1] reply
    • Yes, GGPaul is an owner of my blueprint. And yes, the strategy definitely works. Just go where everyone is not and you have lots of traffic to yourself.
      • [1] reply
  • Wow! This post inspires me more.

So, it's gonna be like creating a review site with "keyword reviews.com" format of the domain?

I will try this one if you could share the resources that led you to achieve this. I know you've posted have some tips here but it is more better if I have the step-by-step process.
    • [1] reply
    • I choose to stay away from exact-match domains. Stay with a domain name that's "brandable". Use something that people will want to come back to without needing to find me through search.
  • I was wondering, if you don't consistently build new content, do the other pages fall off? Does this play a role at all? Something for me to think about in the future.
    • [1] reply
    • Some reviews that I posted in April of last year are still sitting on Page 1 and I haven't touched them at all during that time.
  • GGpaul, Congrats on your success.

The Google SERPs are really weird. I wrote a review a few weeks ago on a low competition product (about 600 words long), yet it isn't even ranking in the top 10.

What is in the top 10 though for the keyword? Spammy wordpress.com pages and blogger blogs for the product with no original content. How do you rank so quickly when the SERPs are like this?
    • [1] reply
    • Are you using pingler + XML Sitemap? I also use onlywire (social bookmark) to help it get indexed faster and on the top 10.
  • Absolutely love this. I love learning new things and expanding my skillset. I think i'm going to have to give this a run and document the progress. Guess that's one more thing to add to the already full plate
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • That's so true man! You can learn tons of things about SEO in this forum. I have joined this forum about a year ago and it became my main source of knowledge and inputs since then.
  • I've been hesitant to try this method because I out source my content, and was afraid to pay for articles on products they may end up being duds as wolf calls them. Than it hit me, this method is very similar to the one I used with adsense that allowed me to make a full time income.

I can't believe I said , "oh I would like to try this but there's noway of knowing how many searches a keyword gets" when I based my whole business model on the exact same principles at one time. Those long tail phrase have almost no competition so like everybody says it will be easy to rank fast and start earning money.

You'll have to excuse me, I have what you call a relax brain lol.
    • [1] reply
    • From the looks of things, you can write. Bro it takes me 10 min to write a review. Save your $$ for now from outsourcing!
  • Hey Paul, so how much are you making per day with this at the moment? I'm really thinking about implementing and posting the results up.
    • [1] reply
    • Too early to give you exact figures. Give me 2-3 weeks haha. Taking this to the next level this upcoming week.

The numbers change because I have a wide range of products. Anywhere from $100-$400.
  • Congratulations! Now pursue success ruthlessly and generate more money!
  • GGPaul, do you focus on products which were only released recently i.e. in the last 1-2 months or do you promote any low competition products as long as the first page comp is PR0?
    • [1] reply
    • Last 1-2 months. But hey, if I find ones that are PR 0 / PR N/A I'd go for that!
      • [2] replies
  • What type of on-page seo do you use to optimize the page? Whats your keyword density?
    • [1] reply

I just make a review that's it lol.

I'm not here to give crazy numbers either "OH LOOK GUYS I'M MAKING 29383298523985235 after 1 week!" I'll break it down from the start to as long as I go with internet marketing.

Too many spammers on the forum as Yukon would say. Figured we got to have some interesting threads out there.
  • Liking this thread! But don't you guys find it a bit challenging to do reviews about products you probably haven't tried yourselves?
    • [1] reply
    • No, not at all. What I do personally is report on the products I'm reviewing. There are certain niches I am very knowledgeable in so I can discuss certain aspects and features of those products without actually owning them. I actually make it clear in my own reviews that I don't own the products. I'm very transparent.
      • [1] reply
  • One more question: I know you use wolfmmii's "strategies" but do you use you use wolfmmii's data input system for the reviews? Or do you make the reviews yourself and structure them yourself?
    • [1] reply
    • Yeah I use wolfs input system. It's great.
  • GGPaul, out of your reviews have many of them outranked sites such as Amazon, epinions, next tag, etc.. on the 1st page or did you get to your current visitor level by being ranked behind those sites? It seems that post Penguin, those authority sites are dominating the SERPs more for product keywords than before.
    • [1] reply

    • I've outranked Amazon. But like Wolf said, people that look for a review probably have seen the Amazon page. Therefore they want to read a review from another site.
  • @cooler....

I know the question is directed at GGpaul but I'll give you my experience until he shows up. It doesn't matter if you outrank amazon, etc. people looking for reviews are going to be looking at multiple first page results so as long as you can hit page one, you are usually good. Also keep in mind that most people have already been to amazon so they aren't going to go there again if they are looking for more info.

  • Get on Google Webmaster Tools and optimize your site for any decent keywords that show positions 5-20... you can probably increase traffic 5-10x with just a few small but targeted backlinking campaigns and some on-page optimization. GWT reports tons of data that most (99%+) webmasters don't use.

  • I got my first result from Amazon sales too today - 1 sale, $8 commission. Funny thing is that this person bought the product I did NOT recommend to buy (I used this product for a comparison with better and cheaper models). Maybe I should start making "anti-rating" Amazon sites, like "worst products ever" with buttons "Don't buy this from Amazon"and "Don't read more user reviews" ?

    • Lol, I do wonder about that. One of my niche nutrition sites has an article about a related health supplement. The article basically says "there is zero evidence that this stuff works" (because that's the truth!). Adsense serves up ads all advertising the product and so far they get lots of clicks. I'm setting up an amazon affiliate link to the product to see if anyone buys it. Serves them right for not reading my articles!

There's actually an old sales trick along those lines.

What you do is have 3 similar type products, with 3 separate price points:

      Example:
      • $9.95 good
      • $19.95 better
      • $29.95 best

Chances are the buyer will purchase the 2nd item.

Look at most web hosting, they use this sales trick.

In the Hostgator example below, I'm sure the "Baby Plan" gets the most sales because they made the 1st product "Hatchling Plan" look inferior by only allowing a single domain to be hosted. Why buy a single domain host, when I can buy multiple domain hosting for a little more money?

They give the buyer options, only make the first lower priced option look like it's not as good a deal as the 2nd. The 3rd option is made to look like overkill for the majority of buyers.

      3) I'm not doing any blackhat tactic at all. Haven't paid services on anything. I think my content is good enough since people are buying. The site looks great from what others have said. I've put an FTC disclosure, privacy policy, the amazon policy at the footer.

    • That's great. Were you promoting the TV's or were they unrelated sales? It's a shame TVs are capped at 4% commision.

You mentioned you use Onlywire. Isn't that limited to something like 150 submissions per month? It was when I looked at it last year. Do you think Onlywire has improved your SERP ranking or is that to just get extra traffic from social media sites?

  • Way to go GGpaul!

You are right, I have been very busy as of late working on a new licensing model for the Review Sites Made Easy software that you are using to create your reviews.

Let me know if you want a free premium theme that works with the system you are using. It's the least I can do for such a shining example of my strategies and system!

    • Definitely man! That would be great if you can. Do you still have my e-mail? If not I'll e-mail you again. Thanks a lot!

  • Hey Wolf, do you inner link your pages/silo structure at all with your strategy? I haven't implemented that yet.
    • [1] reply
    • I have a few highly-customized themes that I use sometimes that include a built-in comparison table that allows me to easily compare any give product with 3 similar products. When using these themes, I can do lots of interlinking/siloing.

I find myself working extensive and arduous hours on my sites and business - but I wouldn't have it any other way as this is what I love. When you find something you love doing and love showing others it shows you have found a gem and would do anything - like giving up your time and efforts.
I'm glad the time you are putting in are paying off - it took my a while to get off the ground but once you do the feeling is amazing!

  • @bestseller:

Although I'd rather you buy it, I'm glad you found the blueprint useful. Let me know if u have any questions.
  • I am extremely surprised this works so well (and as i read your OP rather easy without any link building except bookmarking) - using Amazon product names. It's like the oldest method ever I assume you must have really good, compelling and convincing content.

Edit: I am surprised because i myself used Amazon in the past, in many different ways on all kinds of sites. So you don't use any KW tools and just look at page #1 in google? Do you use any criteria, eg. search volume?
    • [1] reply
    • I don't focus on search volume at all. No Google keyword tool/market samurai/long tail pro - none of that.

As far as converting - I think it comes along with the theme, and the content. The way I see it is I just keep building product reviews constantly.

Are you still using Amazon? Or what are you doing to monetize?

    • No problem. I'm really just having a lot of fun doing research, without focusing on the "numbers"." Putting out good content on something that I know about it, , putting a lot of time to make my site look better, and engaging with social media (not only just blasting out links with onlywire), but actually spending time with my followers.

  • Okay guys, I'm going to be disappearing for a while. I'm going to try to aim $150 a day consistently. I need to fully focus on my sites. Trying to get an Acura NSX (my ultimate dream car). The car I'm driving right now is at 334k miles. Which prevents me from visiting my gf (long distance) cause I have to past the grapevine (uphill mountain).

Glad you guys enjoyed the thread. Honestly, Wolfmmiii is the guy to help you out. He's extremely busy, and may not respond right away. But go to his site and you can communicate with him there. He'll get back to you one way or the other.

I just want to conclude that his strategy helped me out and it prevented from quitting online marketing. • @Tessa:

You just described the exact opposite of this strategy. Why target products that a million other affiliates are targeting when you can target products that nobody else is promoting and rank easily?

I built a brand new site for someone last week or so. The site was ranked and the 3 sample reviews on the first page and getting traffic within 3 days.

    Thank you @GGpaul

    Keep it up man!
  • GGPaul has said he won't be around much (busy implementing my system). However, we basically just look at the first page of Google to see what the competition looks like.

I posted a review of a product on August 17th around noon. By 1pm, it was ranked and seeing traffic. I've already earned commissions from that particular product.

Oh, I should also note: Don't worry about getting to number one. It's not necessary. I mean, it's always nice but because of the way this specific strategy works (coupled with the intent of your typical searcher), getting onto page one is usually all you need to do (above the fold preferably).
  • Hey Wolf, How would your system work with a theme provider / store front as Fresh Store Builder by fellow Warrior Carey Baird? Also , I have sent you a PM with some additional questions etc.. I look forward to your reply..

    Thanks ,
    Jason
  • The system is quite integrated into the theme itself. I currently have 4 or 5 themes that work with it with several more coming. They will be officially released in the coming days.
  • Hey folks, I'm about to head to bed so I decided to add a little update.
I'm liking the results I've seen so far. This past weekend I had a really good conversion rate and sold a good amount of items.

In order for me to scale up, I've created a strong plan to hit my goals. I'm now expanding on 6 sites, each will end up with 50-100 product reviews by mid September. More details later. Take care!
  • Hey GGpaul,

Thanks for sharing your success story! Its very motivating.
Try to scale things up, outsource your reviews and focus on building more site's!

Good luck and keep us posted.
  • Its cool this is working for you. I have been trying the same but my articles are not going to page 1 even after using onlywire. The competition is tiny too. Guess im doing something wrong.
    • [1] reply
    • Is your site brand new? If so, keep building.

The one site that's working for me right now gets indexed fast and that's probably cause its been established for quite some time now (the domain name that is).

I purchased a new site and my content takes longer to get indexed. But the more I started posting new reviews, then that's when the older posts started to click in to the first page.

      Just keep building.
      • [1] reply
  • The more frequently you post content, the more your site is spidered. The more spider activity you get, the faster you are indexed / ranked.

Remember folks, this is a strategy that works. However, it does require some work.
  • I'm posting content using wolfs strategy and I can say as soon as I hit submit on Wordpress my post is indexed and ranked almost always within 30 mins max usually quicker. The site is on an aged domain with around 50 reviews and counting, One review I did one day ranked number 1 and made a sale don't know how often this happens but it's a great motivation boost.

People have just got to take action buy wolfs guide, put some work in and you will be rewarded
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thanks newy. Aged domains certainly don't hurt. However, I typically see the same results on brand new sites as well. Much comes down to personal preference with this strategy. I'm glad you are finding success with my strategies.
  • Woke up this morning and was surprised by this today.

This is with 2 of my sites. One (the one that's helping me the most) gets about 70-80 views a day now and the other one (new site) gave me 13 views.

    Not too shabby.

Anyways I'm working on 5 sites now. Hopefully this will turn out well.

It really boils down on having great content =D.

    • 100 clicks a day? Or accumulated 100 clicks? If so, keep building.
      • [1] reply
  • This thread is full of awesome.
  • When you target low-competition products that very few others are promoting, Google is practically begging for good content to show.

I own roughly 10 sites (the kind I taught GGPaul to build). Whenever I post a new review on any of them, it is usually indexed and ranked on page one of Google within minutes and almost always within 24 hours.

Following my system requires no more than the initial automated social boookmarking of each new product review to rank. I haven't built backlinks to any of my sites in probably a year.
    • [1] reply
    • Thank you wolfmmiii!

Next question I have is about search volume and competition pertaining to this method. I have read tons of advice regarding what to aim for when targeting for keywords/phrases. I should note that at this time I am just using the google keyword tool. Most of the info I've read stresses mid to high competition level and at least around 2000 exact monthly searches.

It would seem that for this method, the search volume is not that important. For example, if you searched for xbox 360 it would get millions of exact matches but a ton of unbeatable google competition. But let's say you searched for "xbox 360 sony goggles" and it only got a few hundred or less exact local searches/month.

Is this the type of product suitable for including in your niche review site? Obviously a good amount of people searching for a specific (but not widely popular) product are looking/thinking about buying. Does this mean that the information regarding search volume is pretty irrelevant and that these are the types of products I should be looking to promote with affiliate links?
      • [1] reply
  • Hey Wolf, out of curiosity have any of your sites with this strategy ever got hit with panda/penguin?

  • I just want to throw a rant out out there. There are some crappy threads being posted and it's pissing me off. I guess people just really want their sites indexed or something with their signature. I feel like Mike Anthony is the police officer though, where he just destroys every person that posts something ridiculous. .

Anyways - enough with the rant. Yeah guys, just treat this like any business. It's a great feeling to wake up at 5 AM and to see some income roll in. It just makes me want to work even harder to earn more.

My mindset is, "if I can make this much with one site, well then what about 5 more sites?"
"If I devote only 3 hours a day, what happens if I devote 8 with the proper plan and execution?" Everything seems to roll in.

Stick to plan and just do it. Don't look back, and don't slow down.

I'm now making sales on 2 of my sites =). And they're no where near finish.

    • You are clearly mastering my strategy. I finally got around to standing up another review site today. I've already identified 10-20 products that I will almost certainly rank on page one almost immediately once the site is running. The best part is that the products are in an uncapped niche where the products are expensive.

Once I get through the sites I'm building for my clients, I'll get started on it. I'll let you know how things go.

Making simple, quality and scalable sites is a winning formula all the way around. I have done similar style sites for a while and they convert like crazy and are so damn simple to start. Great info you are giving everyone here.

  • Just a heads up....

A big (and much overlooked) part of this strategy is a brandable domain that attracts referral traffic and repeat visitors. When you go down the EMD route, you almost certainly eliminate (to some degree) those two key benefits of such a site because most reputable sites aren't going to link to underwatercamerareviews.org nor are many people going to come back after their initial visit.

My sites receive a healthy dose of referral and return traffic and that's because they are legit, brandable sites that people remember and want to come back to.

That's the one thing a lot of people on this forum don't understand (repeat traffic).

It's 100's of times easier to monetize repeat traffic, than to monetize new traffic that has never heard of the site.
    • Thanks for the reply bro. I understand what you are saying, I'm still getting my feet wet with Amazon. For my next couple of sites I think i'm gonna follow your method to the T. I'm gonna get your pdf and dig into it.

  • I'm making money online with Amazon too. I do things differently though.

I have a mixture of medium authority sites with both review sites and pitch products for targeted traffic.

I disagree with you though that product selection and keyword research is not important. You are increasing your work load if you don't do product selection, keyword research and product validation.

Keyword research, product selections and product validations are very important parts in an affiliate system such as amazon. Google Adwords Keyword research tool is not the only to research and validate a product. There are many ways to do that like using the Bestseller's list, Movers and Shakers, Most Gifted or Most Wished For Items and ads on google search results.

Why bother wasting 2 hours writing a review if there are no buyers for this product.

Also for people looking to get into Amazon Affiliate marketing, ignore the gurus who told you to sell only high priced items. You need a mixture of small, medium and high priced items so as to increase your commission %. Aim to hit the 7.5% as fast as possible by focusing the first one week on cheap items. When you hit this, shift your marketing efforts to high priced items.

Build niche authority sites around specific products that people buy most of the time online like nail treatments, etc. I have a site that mainly pitches products. I do not write reviews for it. I just make sure that it stays on the front page of google for its main keyword and I earn around $200 from it every month.

Also people do not forget to scale, once you are making a solid $100 from your sites. Rent writers from philipines or india or your neighbours to write reviews for you. Just do the product selection and validation and watch how your bank account increases.

Anyway nice going GGPaul. Keep up with it and don't forget to scale if you want to earn big money!
    • [1] reply
    • We all operate our businesses differently.

Here's the truth. And the honest truth. I'm making $$ consistently every day now with this particular strategy. Am I going to wipe everything out and start fresh with a whole new strategy? No. What am I going to do? I'm going to rinse and repeat, and scale up.

Who said it takes about 2 hrs to write a review? It takes me literally 5-10 minutes to make a review. And I never said that I don't do product selection. Why is my conversion rate so high? Because of product selection.

I never said DON'T DO keyword research. But at the same time, I DON'T do it because I have my own strategy. I'll stick with what works for me. And this is it. ON TOP OF THAT, I'm enjoying it.

      Thanks for the post.
      • [1] reply
  • Thanks a lot for the link. Are you split testing your reviews?

What kind of high priced items are you selling most? Electronics, Kitchenware?
  • Paul has it right. Two hours to write a review? Man, if I spend more than 15 minutes, I'm working too slowly.

I will say this though, Paul; most people are not using the same software that we are to create reviews. As such, review creation will take longer for those folks (sometimes considerably).
    • [1] reply
    • I have been in this business long enough to know that quality trumps quantity.

What software are you using? To spin articles?

You mean people who type the product's complete name in google and get your page with the same name in the URL and TITLE?

      Oldest trick in the book.
      • [1] reply
  • When you follow my strategy as Paul has done so well, you are pulling in highly targeted traffic that already has wallet in hand. With that kind of traffic, you dont need tons of it and you don't need to do lots of pre selling.
  • Great post, congratulations for your success in amazon.
  • Are you countng your research as part of that review time? I don't see being able to read the product description, several customer reviews, and writing your own review based on that information in just 15 minutes.

This is especially true because some of the products have either poor or nonexistent benefit statements.
    • [2] replies
    • No. I don't count my research part. I do all my research first (I search for about 10 products a day for 3 of my sites).

      I take notes.

Then I take it into action. When I take notes, and have it mapped out, I'm able to type it fast. On top of that, Wolfmmiii has a system that laid it out as simple as 1-2-3.

Update: I'd also like to add that I found a niche/products where I know the ins and outs of it. Therefore it makes it easier for me to write. I will admit there's a niche that I'm not too familiar with and it does take me A LOT longer to do.
    • Another critical part of this strategy is to stick with niches/fields/products that you actually know something about. Too many people jump in and simply target what they feel are profitable niches, regardless of whether or not they know anything about them.

My research time for each product is about 5 minutes since I can look at the features, prices, specs, etc and already know what to write. The customized back-end review system I use speeds things up dramatically.
  • Alright, back to focus mode. It's the weekend. Need to capitalize since the Amazon paycheck is coming up soon . Peace everyone!
  • All I can say is you guys are great. I would really like to know as well how to find the products for the niche products for the site. • No, I do not build lists. I focus on repeat traffic and referral traffic. Since my sites are review sites, building a list simply detracts from what I want my visitors to do (click affiliate links).

Since my visitors are on my site for a very specific product and already have wallets out, building a list isn't helpful. Now, that's not to say I don't have a lead capture form on many of my sites. However, I receive very few opt-in (insignificant).
  • I will follow your advice wolfmmiii for now i can't afford the WSO you are selling but i bet it can work wonders.I will be looking forward to doing so later.
  • Wolf how can I contact you? I don't enough messages to PM you..

I'm going to bail on this thread for at least most of today. I've got a backlog of sites that I have to get done for clients, not to mention getting some content up on my own sites. I'll stop by later this evening or tomorrow to catch up.

  • Hey Wolf, I know you're busy, Just letting you know I sent you an email.

    Thanks man!
  • Quick question guys... first of all this thread is Ah.Maz.Ing!

Would you recommend having a niche specific domain name that caters
only to electronics or can I have a generic domain name like bestreviews.com
and review all kinds of products (i.e- electronics, appliances, power tools, cookware, etcs.) yet have them listed under their own category
within this generic website? ... I hope this makes sense...
  • I prefer niche-specific domains that are brandable (ie. ExeteKelectronics.com). That said, I more generic domain will work if you want to cover a broad range of niches on one site.

Hey Wolfmmii, I've just purchased your blueprint. Great stuff, I've already made my first 'traditional style' Amazon site and now I want to make a Wolfmmii style site. Could you possibly pm me your email as I need to ask your opinion about my next project. I have searched and compiled a list of products according to your blueprints specifications and would really appreciate your input.

      Kind Regards
  • Alright this thread is official over for me. Some (*#@% did something clever, that I'm not going to talk to about. People really take advantage of free information don't they?

  • Hey Wolf /Paul, don't you think the commision of amazon is a little low? only 4% commision? so if i'm selling a 100$ product I get only 4$ for it ?
    • [2] replies
    • It goes up to 5 percent then 6 percent and up and up and up.

That's why I go for $500 products and up. At the end of the day it all adds up.

And the cool thing is that people buy some random *@#$ so it all adds up.

  • I don't like most of the "review" themes on the market today. I prefer a decent magazine theme.
  • Wolf one question. Don't you think the electronics will be outdated and the products are upgraded all the time.

Do you suggest keep on adding content even after the site gets 60-70 pages big and doing well.
  • Every niche winds up with older "stuff". You don't have to promote electronics. To be honest, I wouldn't even recommend it in most cases as most people don't even have the expertise to do so.

Remember folks....Stick with what you know. Don't try promoting something if you know nothing about it. You come off as an idiot when people read your content - trust me.

  • The way I see it, Amazon will be there for a long time....as long as products are made. And so far products are made all the time....

Unless a bunch of aliens came over and destroyed our planet, or some giant catastrophe happens and we're back to the dinosaur days.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Amazon works well if you have a hundred sites or more. The commission of 4% is not just for the products that promote but for anything that the visitor may lay his eyes on and buy on impulse.

  • No success sales wise yet but I have noticed a huge improvement in the rate my new posts are getting indexed. Now I post and 5 minutes later its indexed.

Next problem I must overcome is when they rank they only rank from 11-30. Only wire doesn't seem to want to push them into the top ten
  • OnlyWire probably won't push anything into the top 10. I use it strictly for indexing only.
    • [1] reply
    • With the OnlyWire WP plugin, when does it actually submit the posts? I see the history and one was submitted, then 4 other posts are "waiting on submitter". If there is an issue with one of the social networks, will it not continue until it is resolved?
  • I am probably in a tougher competition niche i guess.
  • This thread is a huge inspiration.
  • Scratch what I said earlier. I have 17 pages and in last hour 6 of them jumped like 50 places to the top 10. Guess key was having patience. Next step is getting sales, thanks for all your help wolf and GGpaul

Note: It has only been 3 days (I know I am a little impatient).
Six articles have been posted so far.

  • Remember folks, the strategy that I taught GGPaul is a very specific strategy. Each part plays a very specific (and important) role. Leaving any pieces out can produce unexpected results.

From domain name to the plugins I use to the format of my reviews to the size of the site, each plays a very specific role in my (and GGPaul's) success. Keep that in mind before undertaking this strategy.

    • [1] reply
    • Wolfmmiii, sorry to budge onto this thread. I am writing here because I see you are reading this thread actively, and other attempts to contact you (PM and blog comment) so far have not worked out.

GGPaul and I had a PM yesterday after I responded to a question from GGPaul. And then somehow I landed on this thread, and loved it. I sell high-priced physical products for Amazon and more for other private affiliates, but since your method with that theme etc looked attractive to me I decided to buy your stuff from your website (going through your sig link). It seemed to me that my conversion ratio would increase and time to produce reviews would be drastically improved meaning I could make more reviews.

      I messed up the purchase.

I thought I was buying the software when I ended up just buying the guide.

I dropped you a PM but I guess you missed it. I thought I could pay the difference and get the rest. I later realized that I could get the rest with a $10 discount coupon that a person buying the tutorial is entitled on the software (going by comments on your blog section).

My partner Sudeshna and I sent you a blog comment message also. Seems that's not in - don't know - it may be simply blocked on moderation.

The gist is that I and Sudeshna are looking forward to get the whole material. So we would love to get the $10 discount coupon on your $29 product. I thought an email would arrive, but it didn't.

If you want, I can give Sudeshna's Paypal email that we purchased from, on PM. Please let know if you need this.

  • I guess I'll post more..

Anyways - guys make sure you find a niche you're into. Not something just cause of "A LOTTA SALES, TONS OF $$, F YEAH!!!!".

Really, find something you're really into, and that you have a knowledge about. You save a lot of time, and your content is going to be A LOT better. Even if you hire writers, you can always edit, or add a little bit of your flavor that makes it stand out. And those are the ones that's selling for me.

There's this site I have, I have 30 product reviews and it's going no where. And just going through it, it sucks compared to my other one. And part of it is that I HAVE NO CLUE what I'm talking about, I just figured it was a good niche to make $$. But then I get lost with that niche/products. And I spend a lot of time trying to figure out wth I'm trying to write. It's just a waste of time and $$.

    Just my 2 cents. Peace!

I didn't work on both sties at the same time.
  • Got a question for you guys. If I want to earn around 2k per month, how many sites should I make? Just base it on your experience
    • [3] replies
    • Dude I don't even have a site up yet... Not a single one. BUT I do know from sticking around here for awhile that you will not get a straight answer. Because THERE IS NO ANSWER!

You could make one site with 100 reviews and not make a single sale. You could make a site with 50 reviews that sell like hotcakes. It depends on the quality of your sites as well as the products and niches you choose to play in.

Even going by the highest level of commission (8.5%) your sites would need to generate $23,529.41 of sales PER MONTH. That's around $280,000 a YEAR.

I've seen people talking about not seeing a single sale from their Amazon work for a few months... Some NEVER see a sale! Try to get a system that works for you and then scale your operation up- vertically or horizontally! Worry about $100 a month after you hit $10 a month, and so on and so forth! It's a process which takes time and effort!

    • I can't answer that for you. Since it's still too early to tell for me that is. Too many experiments. The best thing to do is just DO IT.
    • There are too many variables. Alot depends on how big each site is, what you are promoting, how good your content is, etc.
  • Yea i think your right. I will just focus one system at a time and get good at it. Thanks!
  • All...

If you are a customer of mine, please use my email address to contact me. There are literally hundreds of you so I'm trying to keep all communications coming through one channel. Plus, I don't want to turn this into a support thread for my products and services.
  • Wolf I understand this question is very early to ask for me but just curious that you only have 10 review sites why you didn't grow it more?
    • [1] reply
    • Don't really need to. I prefer to have fewer sites as they are easier to maintain and less expensive as well.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • 2 months? 3 months? Whatever it is, that just motivated me even more to capitalize the most that I can for that particular month.
    • [1] reply
    • Awesome, that's the spirit brohito!

Have you though about backlinking your pages? I mean you could get tons more traffic with a good link building campaign.
  • Can anyone recommend a niche? i know is funny to ask this, but need to start on this somehow
  • No backlinking, I'm scared haha!!! Since traffic is going up.

Niche : whatever you're into man!
  • I spend all of my time focusing on content. I don't bother backlinking as I get natural links from major sites and forums. Since I target low competition stuff, I'm already above the fold on page one in most cases so ranking isn't an issue nor is traffic.
    • [1] reply
    • Exactly. I'm polishing some of my other reviews to see if it does help with the boosting. As long as it doesn't go down by updating it, I'll be fine.
  • ^^There's always stuff to optimize and get more traffic/increase conversions.

Just from my own experience, if you have tons of sites that are all ranking and getting natural links just like that, you can probably 5x your revenue in under a month with: high quality link building campaigns, optimizing your pages for conversions (there's always stuff to improve) and creating major "hub" pages for your top converting traffic/offers (because you never know exactly what the "goldmine" keywords are going to be until you actually start getting traffic and conversions).

Another important bit of advice: if you got niches where page one requires literally no work (just a review) and it is converting super good for you - take over the front page. Build multiple websites in the niche and dominate it. You know it converts, you know that ranking is a no brainer - there's no reason not to take all of that traffic.

When you find something that converts really well, you have to scale it in every direction. That's pretty much what every real business out there does.

I'm going to order your guide wolf - really interested in the techniques you use to create reviews that attract links from major websites. From what I have seen - you gotta do some serious quality (non derivative) work to get that kind of exposure. Especially with product reviews. And consistently with many websites.
    • [ 3 ] Thanks
    • [2] replies
    • i think i gotta agree with the fact that if you have a high converting KW that is ranked like 6th or something, you may want to consider moving it up with some SEO.

You have proof this KW is MONEY, and you know competition is easy. If it doesn't take too much time from you, may as well move up and get the lions share of traffic.
      • [1] reply
    • See, I don't agree with this. You are ignoring (as most people on this forum do) "repeat" and "referral" traffic. Spending time building out tons of subpar sites (and they will be subpar when focusing on quantity rather than quality) and hoping to dominate the SERPs is a strategy that works (if you want to be married to search traffic exclusively). However, it ignores the exact traffic I'm looking to build (repeat/referral/type-in).

Did the owners of CNET, slickdeals, and the like "scale out in every direction"? Nope. They focused on their core site and made them into something great. I would consider them "real businesses".

If you focus on a few core sites and build them out and include helpful info, what you will see is a number of "return" visitors and "referral traffic". Why would I want to spend time and money "scaling out" with sites that rely 100% on search traffic when I can focus on a few quality sites that will get repeat traffic over and over again?

If I'm going to "scale out" (and I think GGPaul has already started doing this) I'm going to "scale out" into different niches that I'm familiar with.

The guide doesn't give info on how I attract links. It simply discusses my own personal strategies & philosophies and how I find products to promote. The "technique" for getting links is simply good, meaningful content. Since I target low competition products and can rank on page one, people naturally find my site and reference it.
      • [1] reply
  • Paul did you take the onlywire subscription after writing some posts or from the first post itself?
  • There's lots in there that I disagree with but I'm not going to bother. You are correct - to each his own. You have your business model and that's fine. This particular thread is about a different type of business model that works. I prefer to focus on discussing the business model at hand anyway.
  • Banned
    [DELETED]
  • Couldn't you also do a hybrid style , let's say you've found a keyword that get's 12,000 searches a month and is fairly easy to rank, something like idk "remote control helicopters" , you could rank for that term and also review each model of remote control helicopters made.

So you could combine wolf's long tail approach, and traditional ranking methods and make money from both. You would get traffic from ranking in top 3 spots, and also traffic from people searching for specific models. In theory anyways.

Since I have to pay for my articles this is the method I'm going with, so if I miss my mark with the long tail review I can make up for it with the fact that I get traffic from my keyword.

When I say easy to rank, I mean less than a hundred links should get you in top spots, good links anyways, so you wouldn't have to spend to much time on link building.
    • [1] reply
    • Of course. The best thing to do (once you find a really good opportunity online, be it reviews in a certain niche or something else) is to really focus on it: establish a brand, build a list and/or create a community, encourage user interaction, start developing a brand... But that's out of the scope of this discussion.

Most newbies need to start somewhere, and I know that simple Amazon affiliate sites are a good way to make that first sale online. You never know where it might lead - maybe it'll motivate you to do great things! I mean look at the OP - he's super excited, and that right there is worth gold.
      • [1] reply
  • Sure, you could do that. What I should be doing on my own sites is doing a bit of internal linking by writing some content for some higher-competition products and then linking to it from each of the low-comp product reviews.

That just gave me an idea for an add-on template for my review system!
  • Cool, I'm glad my thinking is on right track.
  • Wolfmmiii,

Can you pm me your email addy please.

    • Hi Nest28. What you have described is exactly what I have done for my first Amazon Site. Picked a high volume buyer keyword that i'll try and rank for and showcase the 'best sellers' in that niche. The rest of the site is getting filled out with low competition products, I've only found 25 that meet the criteria so we'll see how it goes. FYI i'm already getting traffic from the low competition products, around 10 hits a day and my site is only 5 days old.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [2] replies
  • Niche selection wouldn't cause you not to rank. That would be more a function of your content or choice of products or their competition.
  • The only thing I think I am doing wrong when I compare my site to your guide is my content is typically 250 words rather than 350-400. Major issue?
  • It could be. If you are doing everything else the same, it could be the short content or maybe the products themselves are more competitive than you realize.
  • Every SERP is different. There's no way to tell exactly why you're not ranking without looking at your pages and keywords. And even then it's not always simple to figure out what's wrong (sometimes it's not that obvious).

You can start by looking at what the top 5 or so results are doing (on page and off page). That's normally a good place to start. Unless there's tons of spam at the top (and even that should tell you something).
    • [1] reply
    • Typically the top 5 for many of my products include 2-3 amazon listings, 1 walmart and a youtube video or a scraped autoblog page (same content as amazon.) I will try adding longer content and see where that gets me.

      Cheers.

EDIT: Just as an FYI, I recently built a site for a client of mine who is in your niche. She has several first-page rankings based on the advice I gave you in my email. Although it's not rocket science when you think about it, that info is included in my blueprint so I'd be most gracious if you kept it private.
  • Just read it. Thanks for taking time out of your day to look at it. Appreciated and taking the advice on board.
  • This is something that every internet marketer wants to see! I am doing the same but with the twist.

I am targetting local market because there is hardly having any competition ! Average earning $1 to $2 with auto blogging, no seo, no backlinking and 10-15 visitors hardly.

    Going well just like you.

  • I just created a new site and i did keyword research but no monthly traffic showed up, especially when i add the product number into the phrase. Do you think I should just go for it? I know it it will add good content to my site I guess i'm worried about profit due to financial hardships at this moment and time
  • So I got an e-mail from Amazon saying they released payments. But I didn't pass the threshold ? But then again I looked it was for June? AH now I know what bnetwork meant.

Oh wow and my strategy didn't really work till August. So it'll take some time, but all in all just gotta keep capitalizing so I don't have to worry.
    • [1] reply
    • Exactly. It's all good though as soon as you start earning consistently! I just wanted newbies to know that it's not a work now, get paid next month thing - it takes a lot of time. Many wannabe affiliates here are pretty desperate for quick monies - and this isn't it.

It's a great way to make money though.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
      • [2] replies
  • Yes, you have to hit $100 (I think) to meet threshold. If you are lucky enough to start at the end of a month, you can get tagged by this.
    • [2] replies
    • So that means; since the strategy happened all of August, and I passed the threshold, I'll get the check in the end of October. Since this was Junes paycheck, that means in Sept it will be July and there was nothing at that time lol.

But then once we pass the threshold every month, it'll just flow in.

      All good. No big deal!
    • Nah, I've gotten payments of around $20. Maybe your first payment...

That's not it either. My first payment was for about $14.

Oh, I see it. $100 for checks, $10 for Amazon gift cards and Direct Deposit.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • This is very inspirational. I'm happy to say that I made my first affilate sale last week using ppc as well.

It's cool to see you made money going after the low hanging fruit (as their called)
  • Pretty interesting thread and great advice about ranking low competition keywords. I built a site a few weeks ago which only has bollywood actresses pictures on it then some tags I got from Google suggest and Keyword Researcher just to see if I could get it to rank without any actual content except the small 250 word blurb on the front page.

Only backlinks coming from YT videos I have on the site and adding links to a bollywood group I joined, and a small PPC campaign I ran for the first week then stopped just to get some initial traffic to it.

The sites set up so the home page has a single picture of each actresses I have uploaded with links underneath going to either pictures or videos opening in a new window to try and reduce the bounce rate.

    The result:

    1738 visits
958 of those coming from Googles organic search
Bounce rate of less than 55%
With Google ranking my pages for 624 different related searches with multiple first page rankings.

Not bad for a site which only has pictures. The site was built as a test to see if I could drive traffic to sites with no content and zero seo. Have to say, seems successful thus far. But it's still early days yet and will see how it fares after the next major update I keep seeing people talking about.

If your curious, this is the site url bollywoodactresspictures.in

The next site is going to be exactly the same but Amazon based to see if I can get the same results but make money from it and all based around really low end search terms and zero article content.
  • dude...so very killer to see posts like this. I know it is so addicting once you finally make it to the point when you have an income stream coming in from your online efforts. Congrats to you and may you future be fortunate.

P.S. Watch out though....as soon as the gf starts to see your cash roll in....it's gonna be shoppin time for daddy! LOL
  • I got this system but I'm falling at the first hurdle; not your fault! Don't know if it's cos the US is so much bigger (I'm in the UK) but I can't find a single product area in this price range that comes up with stuff from the past *month*. In which case I'll struggle to have enough stuff to write reviews about. I'm not sure whether I'm able to promote US stuff. I thought I should be able to but the grey affiliates bar only shows for me when I use amazon.co.uk. Damn, dying to get going!
    • [2] replies

    • You have to apply for a US amazon associates account, via amazon.com. Also while you're at it apply for a payoneer card so you can get paid in dollars as a direct deposit.

You have to have a separate affiliate relationship with the Amazon in each country. Looks to me like perhaps you've signed up with amazon.co.uk but not yet amazon.com.

You certainly can promote US stuff from the UK.

  • I'm so glad that this thread came into good use. Remember - if you're expecting immediate results with little work at the first stage then this strategy isn't for you. Keep building
    Is the key.

    • Good post Paul.
    • This is so important. People have been conditioned to believe they can buy a $29 done for you site and that the money will roll in. There is work involved. However, with even just a little effort, this strategy can pay big dividends. I remember when I first made the blueprint available people were like, "what?"

Folks like Paul have discovered it is one of the easier ways to earn online. I now get all kinds I requests for help, website builds, reviews, etc. People are clearly realizing that this is a winning strategy.

  • Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but having overcome the previous problem with your help, I'm having a problem installing the theme provided into Wordpress. It tells me it's a broken theme and that the stylesheet is missing. Any idea on how I might resolve this? Thanks in advance!
    • [1] reply
    • Haha just read the next section about directing questions to the theme's creator - sorry! However, if anyone knows how to rectify the missing stylesheet problem I'd be extremely grateful!
  • Congrats! You remind me of myself a few years ago, similar idea I had been working on but still making five figures from it over the network of sites. When Amazon is done right, the money just rolls in non-stop. All you need is to see the profit growing and it restores your motivation entirely. Keep at it from the looks of things, you'll be do great things.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Paul...

I've sent you a free download link for one of the premium themes I've made available for the review system. I've also set you the update plugin. Make sure you test them on a test domain /site first.

  • Wow, using this strategy I just found a product that has two FB notes ranking on page 1 above the fold and a Pinterest pin ranking further down... I've never seen a pin rank for anything.

    • That's the competition that I look for when implementing the strategy in my blueprint.
    • Hello danr62,
A quick question. you search keyword is full product name in Google?
      thanks
      • [1] reply
  • Sites that target one specific product are not long-term viable options. When the product goes away, you are left with a useless website. The sites we build target broader niches and lots of products within those niches.
  • Tom,
You are so fast man at customer service. I bought a $29 product and you answered all my questions by email so fast and on time. You activated my download link on Saturday within an hour. I was expecting on Monday

  • Hey
I've been reading every single post of this thread and took many notes - quite inspiring! I want to get started and built some sites like that as well. Gonna buy Toms Blueprint.

I'm already earning with Amazon and stumbled upon this thread while looking for ways to improve my existing methods and get to know new ones.

This month I had more than 40k clicks to amazon, though the conversion rate is reeally low.
Anyhow: The small earnings I make are a good motivation to focus on it and really build some nice pages.

Thank you Paul for telling us all so much about your progress!

    Best
    Moritz
  • Just figured I'd say that I bought the blue print after talking to Tom and Paul. I'm still looking for a niche but Tom is awesome at quickly replying to my...many, many questions. Lol. Hoping to find a good niche or two this weekend and have him get my site up!

    • Not gonna lie, I purchased the blueprint earlier in the week because of this thread.

I've done the whole coaching thing with amazon but never found it effective. I like this approach. I'll be building a site this weekend following this blueprint.

Really looking forward to it. I think I've found a broad niche so we'll see lol
  • Niche Selection has ALWAYS been my Achilles heal.
  • Woke up at 6:00am and been working ever since.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Google is where most of your traffic will come from. The strategy for finding low competition products is what allows you to rank easily. Remember folks, just randomly targeting specific products won't necessarily yield good results. You have to find low competition products.

Tired of working setting up tons of stuff just to see something happen later. I rather build on something that will keep building on it's own. make sense?
  • This is a fascinating thread that has really made me think about getting back into writing reviews.

I had a site that went after the big keywords; I created great reviews, linked back to my content and was rising up the search rankings while making a few sales. Then I stumbled across BMR, got onto the first page for most of my big keywords and then suddenly.. well, you can all guess what happened.

I have a quick question.. What type of hosting do you use for these different review websites? Do you go for one hosting package with unlimited domains?
    • [2] replies
    • I've had problems with putting too much on one domain. Not only does it slow your sites down, but if you are banned/sandboxed, it goes by your server IP with some services sometimes and penalizes all your sites. If you can afford it, spread your sites across multiple hosting for worst case scenarios. I only put about 10 domains per hosting account. You can find some cheap it'll do hosting to use for most, but the main hosting you put your sites on, make sure you do all natural marketing for. Don't spam, senuke, etc. etc. that one. Do that to all your feeder pages/sites.

That's my opinion anyways. Hope that helps.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

@Tom Would be happy to get the new Themes as well! Don't quite like the Gazpomag one yet...

One question: How do you compete with Amazon in rankings?
    • [2] replies
    • Hi Everyone,

Just made a sale (for a $272 product) using the exact strategy that both Wolf and GGpaul have talked about.

However, I think there are a few points that everyone should be clear about when it comes to this strategy:

      1) It is NOT another get-rich-quick fix for getting Amazon sales. There is work involved and quite a bit of it because you still need to write detailed and well-researched reviews

      2) You need to be patient because the way this works is that you're going after products who have low traffic initially and traffic from those 1-2 visits from each product review page will build up once you've written a substantial amount of reviews

      3) IMO, you will still need to do a little bit of backlinking for that product review to stick to the 1st page even after 4-5 months.
      • [ 2 ] Thanks
      • [1] reply
    • You don't have to compete with Amazon. Due to the mindset of the searchers, simply ranking on page one will often be sufficient.
  • Paul, sent you an email. I cant pm yet.
  • Update: I'm now at 180 unique visitors a day for ONE site.

What do I do? JUST KEEP ON BUILDING.

I get bored, so I write different content with 4 other sites that I'm working on.

A lot of you are msging me about finding a niche. Honestly, I'd write down a list of all the things that you're interested in/have a knowledge about, and/or write a list of all the things that people want and need; and learn more about it.

Just go through Amazon there's TONS of products.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Of the hundreds of people who have purchased my blueprint, GGPaul appears to have grasped the concept the best and he is running with it. It's obviously paying off.

Pay attention when he says to stick with niches you know.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply
    • GGPaul has inspired me to really push with this method now. I've got a site setup with about a week's worth of content in the queue. Aiming to have a review posted once a day for the next 2-3 months.

If I start to see some real traffic and some sales here and there I'll probably start another 2-3 sites like Paul has.

Now back to grinding out some content!
  • No sales for me yet, but I think that's because I don't have any traffic. Can't wait til i get the hang of this method. I much prefer writing content to SEO.
  • How old is your site Luvhammers? Did you use Tom's strategy?
  • The domain is 8 years old but only had content on it for a few weeks. I recently changed the niche though because it gets updated with new products more often.

I am following the blueprint yes. I am pretty certain I am getting product selection wrong, but I guess the more reviews I put on site the better chance I got of getting some visits.
    • [1] reply
    • Congrats ggpaul.

Its great seeing a fellow pinoy reaching success. You are inspiring alot of warriors like me XD

Just one question. When did you start seeing a substantial increase in traffic? And how much traffic were you getting before that?

I've been following the blueprint for about a month now and have 24 post up. Most of my post are within the first 4 pages of google and they can't seem to break the first page even at low competition( even "spammy" blogspots and facebook are otranking my posts).
I'm getting only around 1-3 visits a day( one of them is myself lol).

Anyways. Just wanted to ask if I will see any improvements on my ranking as i keep posting.

P.S. I know this system works because i was able to sell one item that gave me $8 commission (guess that means there's hope for me haha)
Also maybe you could pm me your contact info and maybe you could critique my site and tell if im doing something wrong?

  • Guys, so I'm up late and I noticed some of my keywords have jumped around. I believe the "latest" algorithm was released.

The thing is most of my keywords are still at the top page, but my "best" keyword that got tons of searches fell off. Hopefully it's because the algo is so brand new that things are all over.

    I'll keep you guys updated.
  • For how much? Email me please. I don't think I can receive a PM. Monique.burkes [at the big G]
  • Im curious about the referral commissions.

I sold a product that should have resulted in a 22 dollar sale but I only got 12 dollars for it.

It was a 3rd party sale if that makes a difference......

why did I only get 12?
  • What was the product's price?
    • [1] reply
    • Product price was 550.
  • That doesn't make sense. Are you sure the commission you received was for that product?
    • [1] reply
    • I figured out what happened. There were several 3rd party sellers selling the same product and one of the sellers happened to be selling the product really cheap, and that's the product the buyer bought.

I guess you can see different advertised price of products on Amazon when it comes to 3rd party sellers.
      • [1] reply
  • Here's what I love about this strategy. So I lost all my rankings for this one keyword. Boo hoo, it's all good. The beauty of having 70 posts is that there are other products that are ranked up and so I'm still getting really good traffic and potential sales for these products.

That's why the key is to keep on building. It's not hard folks to write 1-2 products per day each site. Or hell, you can write so many and schedule them!
  • That's why I rail against the 5-page mini-sites that folks try building. With a larger site such as the ones I teach/build, you aren't relying on a single product/page to rank. I routinely have products disappear / reappear but my overall traffic remains fairly steady because the traffic is split across many, many products.

I am very, very good at picking products with potential and I run multiple sites so where Paul has one or 2 products pulling lots of traffic, I have many products doing the same across several sites. I hardly notice a blip when traffic to a particular product disappears for a while. Since I get lots of referral traffic as well, that more than makes up for any lost rankings of specific products.

As you can see, it's important to know your niche and to keep building. I mean it when I say you can own a large, well-ranking site consisting of a hundred or so products within a month. By following the strategy that I've now taught hundreds of people, you can be one of the webmasters who looks forward to Panda updates instead of cringing at the thought of them.
    • [ 3 ] Thanks
    • [1] reply

    • Yup. Back then, when I would lose my rankings for one keyword I would be bummed out because I had nothing left.

Today I freaked out because history repeated itself. BUT I forgot to realize that I have 69 other products that are ranking. And from the looks of it, I'm still getting a lot of traffic. 49 visitors so far and it's only 11:43 AM on a website with 70 posts. I'm not even at 100 yet.

      KEEP BUILDING.
      • [ 1 ] Thanks

  • I wouldn't worry about conversion stats until you hit closer to 100 clicks per day. Just a handful of clicks really isn't a big enough number to be statistically relevant.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • 7 clicks is definitely not enough to be able to judge anything. You need a statistically relevant number, and 7 doesn't even come close. On top of that, even with a good conversion rate you'd be getting one sale every 75 clicks or so.

That being said, 47 visitors and 7 clicks isn't bad for a couple of reviews and a few days of waiting.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • 100 clicks although 100 visitors should start to show you some limited stats.
  • Yeah I'm not even at a 100 products yet. And I'm seeing results. But I'm also working on 4 other sites.

I think I should have focused one site at a time but who knows.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thank you for the pm Wolfmii.

Question for you both in regards to the domain name.

Would i better getting a .co.uk domain name as i will be selling in the UK?

Any benefits to it over a .com as im in the UK if UK people are searching?

    Thanks
  • One would surmise that a .UK site residing on hosting in the UK would receive some sort of country-specific bump in the SERPS for that country.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
    • [2] replies

    • So if there's 2 websites that were trying to rank for the same keywords, they both had quality content etc, no spammy stuff, just good quality sites, they were both .co.uk domains however one was hosted on hostgator, the other on a UK host, you would predict that the one hosted in the UK would be given ranking preference?

I only ask as I'm setting up 2 sites to target the UK market but my hosting account is with hostgator.

I realize my question depends on a lot of factors so maybe nobody knows the definite answer.

In fact....maybe I've just asked a really daft question.

Oh well, I've been up since 3am with my 3 week old son so I suppose I have an excuse if I'm talking horse shit
    • Thats exactly right, its GEO targeted and a country level domain (ccTLD).

If you want to run a global/US campaign, get a TLD - .com, , .net, .org etc

If you wanted to target the UK, get a .co.uk and host in the UK. I have sites in both the US and the UK, and I have hosting account in each with my TLDs targeting the US.

Congrats to the OP, this is a great thread.
      • [1] reply
  • So it would get bumped up over a USA domain if somebody from the UK searched one of my products?

Sorry about all the questions. Newb.

    Thanks
  • That's what one would think. Someone can correct me if
    I'm wrong.
  • Thats great Wolfmii, thank you for all the help so far. Just watched the vid on the review plugin, looks great and so does the sample site.

I am excited now and ready to start, just the funds to sort out.
  • I did have a question about using the same amazon tracking ID for multiple sites.

Does this matter at all? Or should a different tracking ID be used for each authority site?

Also, I've been using stat counter to track my website traffic and have noticed that some of the visitors arrive at my site without a referral link. Does this mean that they may have bookmarked my site and came back to it later?

The site I am referring to is a few months old.
  • Emailed Tom today with the info for my two sites. I will be taking advantage of his buy 5 get one free offer he has soon I hope. Really looking forward to starting this.

My wife is even going to do a site!
  • Using this strategy, you should be able to easily maintain upwards of 10 sites with just a few hours of work per day.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • so im the newb around here, but Im using wolf's reviewsitesmade easy and associated methods; I opened a 'practice' website (since Im a newb) about 2-3 weeks ago and have 2 products in the top 10. No sales, but traffic is increasing and most of my items are now indexed. Looking at PPC ideas yet and other SEO to maintain. All this while having a cold one for a few hrs each night. So Im a part timer but really love the challenge. wish me luck
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • @smithtg11:

Im a pretty analytical person and all that I have read and been exposed to makes sense, and realize now it takes time to build the content and traffic. Considering I didnt know Jack about IM 2 months ago, I feel like an expert

I've just scheduled my 1st 2 posts last night (for 10am today), and I plan on having 2 go live each day, 7 days each week. I'm not sure that I've picked a good domain name, so I'll try to pick better for next time, and I didn't target higher ticket items specifically, but I still think this will work. Plus, Tom is responsive to my issues (he seems to answer in the evenings) and he's been okay with my mewbie dumbness as well.

My hope is to add 1 new site each month for about 5 months. Between those, my full time job (which I'd like to "replace"), my blog and my kids, I think that's about all I can handle although I do have a couple of other things in the works.
