I kind of had the feeling that you're looking for a quick solution, but if you're looking for a good virtual assistant then there is no way of getting out of the due diligence that is required.

Your best bet would be posted a job on odesk specifying the specific experiences. Hire slow fire fast you will need to go through about five well researched and experienced virtual assistance before finding the right one for you.

Within the job posting a simple outline such as the one provided in your post should be adequate enough. Set your specifications for people with experience already odesk, preferably 100 hours and minimum. From there, send a message to all that apply instructing them to contact you on Skype with a link back to their profile.

When you get contacted by the virtual assistance through Skype, and they do not provide a link back to their profile immediately remove them from the qualified bunch and they cannot follow simple instructions and will most likely prove to be difficult to instruct.

Within Skype, you're just verifying their skills and capabilities by asking them to supply you with examples of their previous work.

Tire kicking is fine to a certain degree as long as you do not let it eat up too much of your time, money or resources, but at least I gave you a good implementable strategy to achieve what you desire when your focus is on this task.

Try posting an ad on the warriors for hire section or at bestjobs.ph or onlinejobs.ph. You may have a hard time finding recommended VAs that are unemployed because good VAs don't stay unemployed for long.

My partner has used the site easyoutsource with some success. The same rules apply though in giving some simple instructions and checking to see if they follow them. Hope that helps.

You could also post a job at OutsourceFactor.com, and you can access VA resumes there. The site is dedicated to helping people (entrepreneurs online) hire people to help them grow their business (as opposed to hiring piece meal freelancers).

Kim Beckers was my full-time employee before she opened her VA business.

She is extremely bright, capable, and thoroughly knowledgeable about IM - she was 'hands -on' in every area of my company, picked up anything she didn't know very quickly (though there isn't likely much she doesn't know anymore), and always over-delivered.

I give *very* few personal recommendations; Kim gets my highest recommendation, and without a second thought or moment's hesitation: Online Business Manager - Kim Beckers

    Michael

PS - she does not know I'm posting this recommendation.
