I was working on odesk for project work and a project came up of doing high pr do follow blog commenting. I never dong do follow blog commenting as I read about having 90% blogs are no follow and never show comments in their blog. Than how someone supposed to get the list of do follow blogs of whatever field and complete. Is there any other procedure of doing blog commenting in high pr blogs. Thanks in advance.

You need to know the footprints, learn how to "follow" other commenters around, etc.

It can be tedious and you'll most likely need the help of a tool like Scrapebox to find the blogs. Don't make the mistake of blindly blasting away at blogs with SB though. Use it as a tool to find quality blogs to manually comment on.

I use dropmylink regularly for searching dofollow links. A incrdible tool to search a mix of backlinks.

You can scrape dofollow blogs with Scrapebox using a footprint such as:

    "post a comment" "blog" -nofollow

I think this can work but the results will be blogs that have no nofollow tags on them, so even if a blog allows dofollow comments but includes a nofollow link within a post on it, it will not be included in the results.

Too many blogs have a few NoFollow links per page while still having comments as DoFollow. I think you're better off finding a handful of DoFollow blogs & following the other commenters around. Sometimes it can be as easy as Googling their name. Or, even easier, their anchor text.

Would searching for -nofollow work? I thought google only searched for the code that browsers displayed not the markup like rel="nofollow"?

If you can then this is pretty sweet

I don't think it works this way.

You can, however, scrape a ton of blogs and use the rel="nofollow" tag in the link checker. What this will do is give you a list of blogs that have rel="nofollow" somewhere in their source.

The only problem is that there are plenty of blogs that have comments as DoFollow and other links as NoFollow. All it takes is 1 instance of rel="nofollow" on a page to have that page counted as such.

Yeah I though that was the case, I just asked because of the originally quoted commennt in my post above.

Thanks for the confirmation. As for using the link checker that's a good point, every strategy has it's catch. Shortcuts eh :p

Yeah, it's not totally reliable, unfortunately.

I'd say your best alternative is to just harvest a ton of Wordpress blogs, remove duplicate domains (keeping 1 post from each blog), and using the dofollow/nofollow checker. This isn't entirely accurate either since it counts posts with no comments as "unknown." And it can occasionally mark a blog as dofollow when it is not. If you're checking enough blogs you should get a fair amount that report back as dofollow.

You can then import these into the URL harvester and add the "site:" footprint in front of them - giving you a list of inner pages from blogs that have been reported as DoFollow.

No problem. It can be a little time consuming but if you stick with it you should be able to build a pretty large list of blogs. You can even go another step further with the "site:" command and set it to search results within the past 30 days. This will help you determine which blogs are still actively being updated without needing to manually look at each one, which tends to help with your comment approval rate.

Great advice again! I take it setting results to content indexed within the last 30 days is an advanced search filter? or is there a string you can use within the search for this?

Correct. You can also set it to a week, or even 24 hours if you're looking for the most recent posts.

Sometimes I'll plug in a few hundred niche-related keywords (for one of my sites) and set the harvester to search for posts made within the past 24 hours. Then I'll take those results and run the blogs themselves (not just the posts) through the PR checker / Alexa rank tool. This should give you a pretty general idea of which blogs are getting a fair amount of traffic.

Commenting on recent posts from high trafic blogs is a pretty good way to send traffic to your own blog. And something that not a lot of people take the time to do.

        Of course it's still effective.
It's effective even if you leave a comment on nofollow blogs, you still get traffic coming your way which. in the end, is why we all have websites: for people to visit them.

Drop My link.com is a very good website which will help you to found blogs to comment on but you can never expect to have all the results should be dofollow. You may get some good results with "Notify me of follow-up comments?" "Submit the word you see below:" with this footprint term. Also, you may get some keywordluv and commentluv enabled blogs which allow to give dofollow backlinks.

I am giving you a suggestion. Do not bother about dofollow or nofollow. Backlinks from good quality sites will be paid.

For finding blogs to comment on, you should also use "top commentators" in your searches so that you would find only those blogs which allow commenting and they have top commentators widget also.

Great post. Pretty much agree with what you said 100%.

People need to stop mindlessly blasting links to random sites. Taking a little bit of time to MANUALLY leave legitimate comments on higher quality sites is going to pay off a lot more in the long term.

You're probably right. But hundreds of millions is far beyond anything manageable.

Although you can probably do the same with Scrapebox with enough proxies and keywords. I've never tried to push it past 5 million though, as I've never needed to do so.

You can also Google for the blogs having Commentluv plugin blogs they provide a good traffic.

I'll let you in on a little secret if you wish to find high PR blogs with hardly any OBLs - use foreign blogs.

Instead of searching Google for "leave a comment", find a German or French translation and search, then finetune once you see what their blog platforms look like.

There'd been days when I found 10-15 PR5 blog pages with 2-3 OBLs per page.

    Hope that helps,

You can greatly increase your approval rate by first checking to see if the blog has any recent posts. (I usually aim for the past 30 days at the most.) This'll help ensure that the blog is active. Also, don't go straight for the posts with PR. Make a comment on a newer post first. If it's approved pretty quickly you'll know that the blog is:

      1. Actively updated.
      2. Actively moderated.

You can then leave a few comments on the posts with PR.

It's not as tedious as it sounds, really. As long as you're leaving GOOD comments you'll get plenty of them approved.

I'm starting to lean this way myself. I've had success mixing in both DF & NF links, but focusing on quality over quantity when it comes to NF. (PR1 or higher, not a large amount of other links on the page, etc.)

80% removed? I usually get at least half of my comments approved. If I'm going after low(ish) competition keywords then I focus heavily on commenting on moderated blogs. It usually doesn't take much - in addition to a few other types of links - to get a page ranking well.

You should be aware that blog commenting is most effective in getting direct traffic rather than increasing your site's page rank. You effectively do blog commenting by providing quality and helpful comments that will make readers click your link.

I use it for both. But you're right, a lot of people tend to overlook commenting as a traffic method. Commenting on recent posts @ high traffic, niche-related blogs is a great way to drive some pretty solid traffic.

Too many blog commenting is not good for SEO. As a best practice in Search Engine Optimization Services, it is advisable to have accounts on 5-10 high PR blog sites and perform the below tasks-
    1. give regular updates
    2. widen your group dimension and increase members
    3. initiate discussion on variety of topics
    4. Follow and being followed
    5. Ask questions and give answers

It's not only to create back links but increase your link popularity as well along with directing the traffic to your site.

There are much better (stronger) ways to create backlinks than dropping a URL to your site in a forum post.

Well, take it simple, just putting some footprint in search engine you can find relevant blogs easily the thing is you have to do quality commenting so that your comment would be approved and you would get the benefit.

No, that's utter BS. Google doesn't update the publicly visible PR, but that part of algorithm is still there. You should not use PR to measure sites, but strong sites are still strong.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
