Sites launched, how to proceed further and get traffic?

Hi all,
I just launched several sites related to some subjects like stocks,finance,weights and entertainment. All the content in it has been custom written from me as i read a few articles that content is the king.

Now how to proceed further? How to get traffic to my sites? I submitted my articles on 3-4 article sites but that didnt work out at all.

Any suggestions and if anyone can guide me how to proceed further?

    You can start off with

    This will help you get indexed and will bring a little social traffic

    Then you need to get some SEO done so you'll need to build backlinks.

    Search around these forums and you'll find a lot of info on SEO and the tools you can use to create backlinks

    SEnuke X, Sick Submitter, Magic Submitter, Ultimate demon and so on

    If you don't want to take the time to learn SEO yourself (which will be harder but cheaper in the long run) you can always outsource your SEO to people in the WSO and Warriors For Hire sections

Always include a link back to the site that you are promoting. You should also distribute press releases and write guest posts for reputable blogs.

    Build quality backlinks through Squidoo, Hubpages and Ezinearticles. These will take effect longterm.

    For short-term, social media. Facebook/Twitter/Pinterst. Infact, Pinterest is amazing for traffic at the moment!

    stop targeting stocks,finance,weights and entertainment,
    pick a one niche and dig deep into it. Find longtail keywords that nobody is targetting and make an article about it. Then sennd some backlinks to your article and you will see small but very targetted traffic.

    traffic is always the issue, we personally are huge fans of video - the more the merrier. if you like, you can visit our site for a FREE 16 video education course on traffic generation, it is packed with ideas that are low or no cost. good luck and stick with it.     There are two answers depending on what you're doing.

    1. If you're offering a product or service, I would use PPC to try and get some
    valuable data on what keywords are working best for my website. It can also
    help to make your pages more power to convert better. After you've gotten the
    keywords I would do SEO on the keywords that worked.

    2. If you don't have a service or a product and you're looking to be an affiliate
    marketer of some sort whether Adsense, Amazon or some ad network, I would
    first do some good keyword research to see which keywords would bring ready
    and willing buyers to my site. I would then optimize my site for those keywords
    and start an SEO campaign for my site.

    The social bookmarking response is the closest I've seen. I would suggest you join Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn and get to know people on those forums. As you become a part of their community, you can begin to drive traffic to yours.

    The thing to remember about social networking is that you have to give as well as take, so that means participating, sharing links and tips and responding to people's questions and so forth.

    Promotion takes work, but if you work hard, and build a community of people, they will know you and therefore want to see what you're doing on your forum.

    Work on SEO, or if you have money go with paid traffic - once you are turning a profit hire a professional team to do SEO on a monthly basis
