Thats because there are done by YOU. A guest post on an authority blog will not only give you a fantastic backlink it will bring you traffic aswell! Also a comment on a HIgh PR site within your niche will be 100x more powerfull then buying a link wheel or a 100,000 scrapebox blast or a SeNuke full monty.

That is not to say SEO can't be good, but if you want actually results from these services then you better be prepared to pay top dollar!

What ever niche you are in, let's say fitness, contact the top ten websites in the fitness niche and offer to write them a fantastic original article that there readers will love in return for a link back to your site at the end of the article. The website gets great content for there readers and you get a outstanding backlink and traffic from people who already love your writing and want to see more! With regards to the commenting, I have a something coming out that will explain this.

Well, there is no such thing as a "Perfect" seo service. Some of my SEO friends who make 6 figures a year strictly doing there own SEO have always said that even they cant guarentee top rankings all the time. You can never predict when another Panda/Penguin update is going to hit and effect your rankings!

It's hard to find a good SEO service and it's hard to rank yourself when you don't put a lot of time into it.

Personally I think ranking "especially" the tougher keywords would be insane hard without having my own private network. So there are a few options

- spend a lot of time emailing webmasters, building links and so on
- spend a lot of money to invest in your own network, just a few links won't cut it
- hire someone like me who owns his own private network

Yes many claim to have their own network but many also submit crappy spun post to it en masse and host it on poor C-class SEO hosting. All my sites have 100% unique hand written content and are hosted on dozens of shared hosting plans. That makes it just so much safer. I couldn't think of waking up one day to see my whole network got deindexed. In fact out of 250+ sites I never had a single site that got deindexed.

Yes, learn techniques yourself. Choose one or two paths that yield the most return for your SEO needs and get good at doing that for yourself. In the beginning, it's best to know the nuts and bolts of SEO (for your own stuff) so when you finally hire or decide to outsource, you know what needs to be done.

Typically, a service that give guaranteed results is going to use very spammy techniques. They might get you the results at first, but those results probably won't last long.

Be careful when hiring those who claim to be pro SEO's. Monitor their linking closely if they do that kind of stuff because it can kill your website if they do it wrong. Others have given great advice to make sure that you get their reviews checked. SEO work is hard work if you are new to it, but sticking with learning constantly about it and keeping to strict white hat techniques will help to alleviate panda and penguin worries.
