Making My YouTube Videos a Success Your Website

I have recently decided that I am going to go on a huge youtube marketing campaign. YouTube is owned by google and google just released that they are dumping a lot of money into a massive campaign to heighten the importance of having content on youtube with relevance to your website. Youtube videos can be back linked just like a website and if you can start creating an audiance with your youtube videos that correlate to your website, i think is the next big thing. Youtube is google's little sister and I believe they watch over it and care for likewise. I just bought a website website template and started creating videos on how to use Joomla (because Joomla is the next big thing, more people just have to know about it, but because it is free people don't hear about it (no advertising) so...)

I would say that the site that is doing it the best out there in my opinion would have to be Cloud Hosting | Joomla Application Virtualization, this dude does webinars almost everyday that are an hour and a half long and then uploads them to youtube. He has a following of 5,000 people for every video. But the main thing is, is that he is consistant and now has a trustworthyness about him on the internet. I have started to do that with videos of my own like
So if there is anyone out there that has more info on making youtube a success for your site, I am more than open ears. I think that this subject isn't talked about enough.. so let this topic explode.. I want to hear more!

You probably already know this, but in case you don't or if there are any other visitors to the thread that are new to it, here are somethings to make sure you do.
    1. do keyword research before making a video and use good descritions and tags to get traffic
    2. ask for the likes, subscribers, and comments at the end of each video to gain popularity
    3. build a site where all the videos can be compiled into one place and double your exposure for those who don't typically go to YouTube to find your videos through natural organic listings n google
    4. do lots of short videos on specific things people ask you about. its better to have tons of short specific videos that are just a minute, long and answer specific problems, rather than one long video that answers multiple problems.
    5. brand yourself by having your URL on the video throughout the video so your scraped videos will be working to expose you and brand you when others take your vids and embed them in their site.
    6. ask for questions at the end of each video to help you have a constant flow of content, making videos that answer people directly through the video is a good way to also build dedicated followers.
    7. don't forget to expose yourself through social media

Hope one of these tips can help. Good luck!

Hey thanks! I was thinking of doing short specific videos because there are very few out there, everyone just has a series of "joomla 2.5 beginners part 1" for example and not enough specific 2-3 min vids... Thanks you for your tips!

I have a client that uses Joomla and I really struggled for good tutorials that saved me time by addressing specific questions I needed answered. In my opinion, I think a joomla series is a great idea!
