Experiment with AdSense. Is it worth trying?

Hello warriors!
A few days ago I surfed through AdWords keyword suggestion tool and noticed pretty good keywords related to photography (e.g. "digital photography school") which has high competition and cost per click (from $5 to $26 per click and ~ 1000...8000 a month).
I've thought that It would be great to create a simple website with several (3-7) quality articles (It's important to me) highly optimized for that expensive keywords and place AdSense code there.
I have pretty popular website related to photography (editing/retouching) and can send to this AdSense optimized site at last 2-3K uniques a day (with little banner).
Could you please tell me:
1. If it worth trying at all? Can I get good results with such method?
2. What problems cat I stumble on?
3. Is there any good guide for creation such sites? (for best optimization, where get good articles etc.).
