A Startups Question: Website vs. SEO company; which profits best?

This boils down to you, and what works best for you...there is no "best." If you go website route it all depends on how well you research the market, how well you place your ads, how well you write your content, and how well you rank an target your site. You get those right adsense can be very rewarding(I don't have experience with clickworks).

SEO Team and SEO Services comes down to how well you can sell. If you can't sell nothing else matters, not how nice your website is, how talented your SEO team is, nothing! So, if you aren't a good salesman and you don't know how or where to find good sales people if your selling offline then think again. If your trying to sell SEO services online like on the forums and you don't know where or how to position your services and advertise it then think again.

This question really can't be answered for you. As every answer you get will be "personal" to the person giving it. Figure out what your skill sets are an pick the one that best matches your skills.

I think it depends upon your goal. For me personally I have found a lot of enjoyment from creating websites, building the SEO and watching it grow. From my point of view this is fun, this is the best game I have ever played in fact.

I reckon SEO company. You don't have to continually go out and search for business. Saying that website building can lead to SEO. Something I lack in my own business.

If you sell good services for an affordable price then you can make it big time as an SEO seller. When you plan to sell the same crap as 95% here on this forum then I don't think you will sell much.

I started with SEO'ing my own sites, then I decided to start selling SEO and quit working on my own sites actually and right now my network is so large that it would be pretty easy to SEO my own sites but actually I can't find the time for it anymore and I'm pretty poor with monetizing. Just spoke with a client who wanted to target a certain niche that I did before, and I didn't make a single penny and he told me already made $250/week with it lol. Guess the money is in the list is not a fable.

The money is in providing a service, then selling it. Simple

SEO can be packaged into lots of great services;

However, as mentioned above if you can't sell then you need to find someone who can.

Offer commission only work, give someone a phone and a computer and say, 25% of everything you sell mate?

Offer to Joint Venture with someone who can sell, make the deal worthwhile to both of you?

Price is not so important if you CAN sell remember.

Apple stuff is expensive, but they sure know how to sell.
