    Yes. A lot of people don't know that transcripts are EXCELLENT for ranking videos. Stuff them with keywords!

    Youtube transcripts are useless for on-page SEO (IMO).

    This video below has a transcript, as you can see in the Google Cache (text version), Google doesn't see the transcript text.

    You have to go to the actual video page on Youtube & click the "Transcript" icon below the video to see the transcript text, which is loaded with javascript
